Dorsay British Pub – A door to history

Since 1987, Dorsay, like Le Gaulois since 1987, has been part of the landscape of Old Quebec. Founded by Marcel Veilleux and taken over in 2024 by his son Christian Veilleux, along with Lyne Blackburn and Marc-Olivier Germain, Dorsay continues the tradition of true British pubs: warmth, camaraderie, cold pints, and tasty dishes.

In the heart of Old Quebec, a stone's throw from the Château Frontenac, our gastro pub cuisine, created by chef Benoit Poliquin, celebrates local products: seafood chowder, bangers and mash, fish and chips, homemade blood sausage, London BBQ wings, and much more.

De passage à Québec je venais souvent manger dans ce restaurant & j'ai toujours été très satisfaite. J'ai voulu y retourner aujourd'hui en famille. Une fois installé à table première surprise on ne nous sert pas de verre d'eau si on demande pas. Deuxième surprise voulant juste prendre un verre de bière on me dit quil n'y a qu'un format : une pinte. Je me suis finalement prise à prendre un verre de vin avec peu de choix ( la carte a changé récemment & le choix a énormément diminué) . Côté service rien à dire le serveur a été très professionnel & l'ambiance était conviviale. Au moment où l' assiette arrive je me rends compte que le rapport qualité prix a changé & les quantités aussi ! C'est bien dommage c'était un beau restaurant avec de belles valeurs qui a mon goût insiste maintenant à la consommation . Autre point le prix de l' expresso qui n'est même pas affiché sur la carte : 5$ c'est du vol je trouve ! Je ne reviendrai plus

Delicious food at the Restaurant Pub D'Orsay in the old city part of Quebec City. Nancy, our server was spot on in suggesting the beer, & the dessert (A chocolate mousse delicacy). Great service & we would highly recommend others try it if you are in the area. Pics of the poutine, Caesar salad & beer. Dessert was gone before a pic could be taken!

The service was exceptional! We were a big group, but Nancy was patient & made sure everyone was well assisted, including our small kids, she was amazing & fast, the food was great & the kids meals very nice & affordable!
