Julio Taqueria is widely celebrated as a vibrant destination offering delicious, high-quality Mexican cuisine in a lively and colorful atmosphere. Many diners appreciate the entirely gluten-free menu, which provides a safe and inclusive dining experience for those with celiac disease or dietary restrictions. The diverse selection of flavorful dishes, including standout tacos, quesadillas, and popular churros, is frequently paired with excellent house-made sauces and inventive cocktails. While some visitors note that the venue can become loud and portion sizes may feel small relative to the price, the majority praise the friendly, attentive service and the overall welcoming environment that makes it a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike.
Tacos are okay, not the best. Carnitas was a bit dry. Al pastor had a nice char flavor. Crudo was average, nothing special in terms of flavor or texture. Better reserving as they often refuse walk-in clients because of upcoming reservations.
Horchata cocktail was mostly ice with very little actual drink or alcohol, especially disappointing given the price. The churros were cold & tasted like they were fried in old oil.
On the positive side, the tacos were really good & full of flavor.
Overall, some potential, but definitely needs improvement in drinks & desserts.
Why 2 stars?
• ⭐ for the tacos (good quality)
• ❌ Drinks overpriced & poorly made
• ❌ Dessert quality very low
Highly recommended! As vegetarians, we tried the esquite, flameado, setas taco, & quesa setas. The esquite & flameado really stood out, full of flavor & absolutely delicious. It would be great to see a few more vegetarian options for tacos & quesadillas, but overall, the food was fantastic & the service made the experience even bette
