The atmosphere is fantastic, & they even bring you complimentary popcorn, which makes the game even more enjoyable. The only downside is that they don't offer many gluten-free options. It would be great to see gluten-free buns & burgers on the menu!
I have been a loyal customer of La Cage for years & have spent enough money there to earn Platinum membership status. After my experience during UFC Freedom 250, I can confidently say I will never spend another dollar at this establishment.
When making our reservation, we specifically requested seating with a good view for the fights. Instead, we were seated at a bar-style table with a bright lamp positioned directly between us & the main screen. The light constantly burned into our peripheral vision & made watching the event incredibly distracting. We politely asked staff if the lamp could be turned off. We were told they would look into it, & then nobody ever came back with an answer.
Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
When the UFC event started, La Cage somehow managed to turn what should have been a premium fight-night experience into complete chaos. The main screen was split with the NHL Finals, another screen was showing a World Cup soccer match, & the audio was left on the NHL game instead of the UFC broadcast. To make matters worse, it was the game of the team that had just eliminated the Canadiens. Many customers were visibly frustrated, yet management seemed completely oblivious to the fact that a large portion of the restaurant had specifically come to watch UFC 250.
The entire atmosphere felt disorganized & out of touch. Instead of creating an exciting event experience, La Cage delivered a confusing mess where nobody could properly follow what they came to see.
The experience was so poor that I left after my appetizer & went home to watch the fights. Watching on my own couch was infinitely better than staying in the restaurant.
This was not a minor inconvenience. It was one of the worst sports-viewing experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Between ignoring customer requests, failing to prioritize the advertised event, & creating a chaotic viewing environment, La Cage completely missed the mark.
As a longtime customer, this was incredibly disappointing. As a former customer, it's the last time I'll ever walk through those doors.
Made reservations to go & watch game since I am from out of town. Reservations confirmed from restaurent! Was in Uber 2 minutes from restaurent & they called me & said they made mistake & no room for me. Unapologetic & did not care!!
Excellent food & drinks. Large screen TV's everywhere; very fun & exciting atmosphere with very lively environment on weekends. Great for watching Canadiens games.
Great sports bar. Staff were very accommodating, playing us the Bills game on a big screen despite the Canadiens also playing that night! Only had bar snacks which were good. Big choice of beer on tap. Would definitely go back next time I'm in town.
