Arrived with a party of 4 at 7pm. Restaurant was easily half empty. Hostess told us wait was 20 minutes due to reservations. Explanation seemed odd. We asked if we could just sit at the bar while we wait. Hostess was reluctant as she said we couldn't order food. We said no problem, we would only have drinks. Waited another 30 minutes. Hostess didn't say anything to us. Finally went up to ask when we might get seated. Restaurant had a LOT of open tables. She said it would be at least another 30 minutes or longer. I asked why since she had initially told us 20 minutes & now it would be over an hour. I asked if we could be seated at a table & wait to order food when they gave us the okay. The hostess didn't seem to open to that. It was strange. Either they didn't have food or the kitchen was very understaffed. Either way, the service & communication was terrible. We paid for our drinks & left for Boston Pizza. First time at La Cafe & very disappointed.

We were driving around the city late in the evening looking for a great pub to end off our incredible day. We stumbled across this La Cage restaurant & we are so grateful that we did. The entire experience was awesone from start to finish...food, atmosphere, staff & everything in between. The food was as close to perfection as we could get ...the Quinoa & Grilled Chicken Salad & the Club was bar none & there was nothing they could have done to make it better. Fred & his staff were incredible & we are looking forward to another visit the next time we are in Quebec City. Thanks from Kelly & Tina & the Coastal Gypzies!

Excellent restaurant, très bonne cuisine surtout les saintes ailes, ambiance un peu bruyant mais c'est un bar sportif.

Nous avons eu un service exceptionnel de la charmante Laeticia au bar. La nourriture était bonne!! Elle m'a suggéré un drink à la fin & il était juste wow. Merci.

Total sports bar experience. Melissa our server was awesome & drinks were great!
Popcorn was salty but tasted perfect mixed with beer- 😀.

Belle cage, ambiance le fun, MAIS impossible de s'asseoir au bar même s'il y a plusieurs places de libre. Ils semblent qu'elles sont réservées mais pourtant quand on appelle pour réserver, on nous dit que c'est impossible de réserver au bar. L'hôtesse à l'accueil nous dit que tous les bars c'est pareil, que c'est la business de la serveuse au bar & que c'est son bar & qu'elle a le droit de faire ce qu'elle veut. L'hôtesse s'impatiente rapidement & nous donne un ultimatum' la voulez la table en salle ou vous ne la voulez pas' , très ordinaire de se faire répondre ça, surtout quand on est relativement calme & qu'on essayait juste de comprendre car on n'a jamais vu ça dans une autre chaîne de restaurant.

Nous sommes des clients régulier du weekend au bar , nous voulons vous remercier tous & chacun pour toutes les attentions & le service impeccable que vous nous donnez à tous les week-ends! Vous êtes vraiment une équipe très agréable & très aimable, des filles au bar jusqu'au gérant (te) & les garçons au service, sans exception!

This place was walking distance from the hotel that I was staying at while in Quebec City for a night. I'm English speaking & perhaps I gave off the vibe I didn't speak good French as my waitress knew instantly I spoke English. She was absolutely lovely & so kind! I ordered the margaritas & they were salty, sour & delicious! I'm a cider & sour beer kind of person which I didn't see on the menu. To eat I ordered the pesto pizza which was decent. The pesto sauce was garicly & cheesey. However, I'd add red peppers & onions to it to add some flavors to the pizza. The dough was fluffy & a little undercooked but still good. I sat at the bar & the atmosphere is definitely sports driven. There is fresh popped popcorn too. Which was very good! I'd go back if I were in the area!

Wings were way overcooked, but it was a very busy NHL night. Annie at the bar very thoughtful & offered exceptional service.
