Review Summary

L'Atelier is a highly regarded destination in Québec City, consistently praised for its vibrant and energetic atmosphere, particularly within its multi-level industrial decor and lively bar scene. Guests frequently commend the establishment for its exceptional, professional service and high-quality cuisine, with the tartares, fresh salads, and mac and cheese standing out as signature favorites. The cocktails are consistently described as inventive and expertly crafted, with many visitors enjoying the unique mixology classes offered on-site. While the lively environment is ideal for celebrations and social outings, some guests note that the music can become quite loud during peak evening hours, and others mention that the pricing reflects the premium nature of the experience.

Excellent service!

I think the tartare was well balanced, not a every restaurant Knows how to do that ! Cocktails were also nice but thats all !! I think that for the price they charge its just insulting to get so little, i'm pretty sure theres guy counting the fries for each order.... I mean theres a certain feeling you wanna get in a restaurant, like: "it's ok buddy were taking care of your lunch for you"! Instead what you get is:"alright you got your table for two hours but we'd like you to be done in 30 minutes ! It's the type of restaurant that serves 16 $ red wine glasses as cold as if it came out the freezer plus if you tell the server she'll tell you to let it sit on the table, that "it'll get warmer". Total 150$ for 2 plates & 3 drinks & i ain't got no problems with paying when the cost meets the quality but eating at the Atelier is more like getting robbed in a back street of st-roch. This place is for unaware tourists who wanna feel like they're paying themselves a hell of a night but really its just as a rip-off as the souvenir shops down le petit champlain. Tons of better places in Quebec where the customer isn't just a wallet, not going back there but hey the tartare was good.
