Afficher toutdejeuner(118) breakfast(71) poutine(54) prix(52) qualite(49) rapide(47) champlain(44) brunch(43) recommend(35) cafe(34) steak(29) sauce(27)Ribs are edible & fine. Nothing special. Poutine is a disgrace to Quebec. Soggy fries, rubbery curds, tangy house sauce instead of a decent gravy & poor coverage, not hot enough either to soften the hard cold rubbery curds. Pork burger is edible. Nothing special. Caesar salad is... somehow also soggy while simultaneously being underdressed. It is hard to make a bad caesar salad...they did it... Cocktails are fine but naturally very watered down.
While exploring the old city, we stopped at the Cochon Dingue for lunch. The service was efficient & friendly, & the food was great. I recommend the poutine with pork, it tasted great!
I had the breakfast poutine, which initially tasted very good & the presentation was great. However, I would've been happier paying less for a smaller portion. I was really forcing myself to finish to the point of discomfort, & while I could've taken it home, it would've been soggy & unappetizing. The real issue occured about 2-3 hours later... My Cochon Dingue transformed into Diarrhée Dingue. Ben non!
We were pleasantly surprised at the food here. We stopped in looking for breakfast but had to order off the lunch menu, which ended up being great. The French onion soup, duck wings, beef carpaccio, & meat poutine were all fantastic. Definitely will return for a guaranteed good meal.
Ambiance & personnel agréable. La poutine de cochon est excellente Le gâteau à la carotte est extra
Espresso martini was top notch. Wasn't a huge fan of the poutine or the salad but it was a good portion & friendly staff
This is a tough one. If I was rating my first visit, about an hour before closing on a Saturday night, it would be five stars all the way. Baby poutine, with suckling pig, & fish snd chips. Amazing food & the server was good. The next day I went back. The server wasn't great & the food was bad. The same poutine, but clearly less thought was put into pulling it together & the fish from the fish & chips dish was cold! Very disappointing that there seems to be no consistency in their dishes.
Very very expensive for the quality & portion size. Poutine is OK at best. French onion soup is good but very small. Good bloody Mary's. Overall, lackluster & overpriced.
