Malheureusement.

We came here after our ferry ride because we were looking for a toddler-friendly restaurant nearby. When we arrived, we were actually excited to try it. The restaurant was very busy, with lots of families & children, so we thought it would be a great place to eat with our two-year-old.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.

We waited for almost TWO HOURS & still never received our food. My husband eventually went to ask the staff about our order, only to be told that it still wasn't ready. Later, we learned that there was apparently a problem in the kitchen.

I completely understand that unexpected problems can happen in any restaurant. What I don't understand is why customers were not informed about the situation BEFORE being seated. The restaurant continued accepting & seating people even though the kitchen was clearly unable to keep up. At the very least, customers should have been told,'We're currently experiencing delays, & food may take approximately ___ minutes.' Then we could have decided for ourselves whether we were willing to wait.

For an adult, waiting is one thing. Waiting almost two hours with a hungry two-year-old repeatedly saying,'I want food, I want food,' is completely different. I felt terrible for my daughter. All I could give her while we waited was her drink & the biscuits I happened to have in my bag, which she eventually finished because we had been waiting so long.

& it wasn't only us. We saw other families waiting for a very long time, some eventually leaving. There were elderly customers & families with children waiting as well. We even noticed people who had already finished eating but were still waiting just to get their bill.

What disappointed me even more was that when we finally decided to leave after almost two hours without receiving our food, we didn't even receive an apology.

We ended up going to another restaurant, tired & extremely hungry. The difference was immediate: as soon as we arrived, they clearly told us the estimated waiting time BEFORE seating us. That is how customers should be treated. Give people the information & allow them to decide whether they want to wait.

My suggestion to this restaurant is simple: if your kitchen is experiencing problems or unusually long delays, please communicate that to your customers. Don't continue seating more & more people without letting them know what to expect. A simple explanation, realistic estimated waiting time, & sincere apology would have made a huge difference.

We came here excited to have dinner after a nice family day, but unfortunately we left hungry & disappointed after wasting almost two hours of our evening.

If zero stars were an option based on our experience that night, that is what I would give.

We were very excited to try this restaraunt this evening. They were quite busy, im assuming due to this being the last long weekend as school is going back in. We were seated inside within 15 mins which was great. We ordered our meal & drinks approx. 15 mins after being seated 👍. One appetizer which was, the loaded chips, came out to be shared among my wife & 2 older boys within 10 mins or so....it was fine! My younger son, who is 10, ordered off the kids menu. He wanted the soup of the day as an appetizer, & salmon with mash potatoes for the main. After 30 mins+ of our server not stopping by our table, he was finally told they dont have anymore soup. He was also told his main meal selection of salmon was not available....after 30+ mins......so he had to settle for the chicken strips, & bacon wrapped sausage as a starter. He received his bacon wrapped sausage, which was 1 piece of thin bacon wrapped around a hot dog cut into 4 pieces....not great. After that.....already being 50+ mins after seating......we saw no further service. After 1 hrs 35 mins of no further service, I had to call it. I approached a waitress who was not serving our table, since we hadn't seen our waiter over 45 mins, & asked if we could just pay for what was served & be done with it. She offered to let us off without paying for anything & apologized. We knew they were in the weeds this night & I offered again to pay for what was served. She charged for our drinks & said that would be fine. She was apologetic & we could tell that this night got the better of this restaraunt. Perhaps they were short staffed, or overcome with the amount of people to serve, but was a disappointing end of our trip to a beautiful city before the kiddos head back to school. Im sure the food is good, just wish we had a chance to experience it.

No communication. Waited for almost two hours for our food & never came. I have a toddler who's waiting patiently but the food was never prepared. When I asked the waitress, she said that the kitchen is having problem & they never told the customers. A few people left the tables for having a very wait as well.
All they can say is sorry.

My wife & I went to this restaurant on Aug 25 2026 & enjoyed our meal. Me more than her. I had the steak frites & the whole meal was delicious. She had the guedille fruit de mer & he only mention was the bread it was on kind of took over the meal. She ate all the meal but discarded some of the bread near the end. Just a mention not a complaint.

Our waitress was very welcoming & even humored us when we asked how to properly pronounce'Dingue' correctly.

This restaurant came recommended from a colleague that lives in MTL but has visited. It was a great recommendation.
