I made a reservation to eat here as, honestly, there weren't many reservations left the weekend before Christmas & I managed to grab this one. Absolutely outstanding. It felt very old school, but in a good way! They opened the door to my Uber, which was so unexpected, & we were greeted at the door by the maitre d', as well as 3 or 4 waitstaff. Someone offered to take our coats & then we were seated. They will cook some of their offerings tableside. A proposal took place while we were there & was announced by the maitre d' after she accepted, with the whole restaurant celebrating the engagement. Everyone was super attentive & great at clearing the table or refilling waters without being disruptive. Our food was, I'm told, outstanding. Unfortunately, I had a cold & couldn't taste anything. Ugh, so frustrating. But my steak was tender & my family said everything (including my meal) was delicious! I would love to go back & order the same thing & actually taste it this time!!!

Cooked in front of us which was nice. The steak wasn't anything super. I've had better.

Lobster bisque was pretty good
Crepe Suzette for dessert pretty good. Staff very friendly & helpful & professional

À éviter absolument.
On a commandé une entrecôte & le serveur nous a servi un steak de contre-filet après nous avoir donner un sermon comme quoi nous n'y connaissions rien & qu'il avait travaillé avec les meilleurs en France.
Toutes nos viandes se noyaient dans beaucoup trop de sauce.
Des prix exorbitants pour un service désagréable.
Plus jamais jamais je ne remettrai les pieds ici.

second time here & didn't disappoint. It's traditional with wait staff cooking your steak at your table. All out steaks were cooked at perfection, good quality beef, desserts were delicious. I believe we had the same server as our first time, friendly yet a bit of attitude...you know he been working there for a long time ..

The oldest restaurant in Quebec City, & upscale steak house with well deserved reputation. Has an old fashion very traditional & very attentive service. I had The veal filet mignon with fois grass & it was sublime. Highly recommend this place, but you may need a reservation.

Excellent service & excellent food at this classic French steakhouse. We always make sure to reserve a table at this fabulous restaurant whenever we come to Quebec City. Bring your cameras as your waiter prepares your flambé dinner right at the table!

Too notch. Service at the table for Cesar for two & steak flambé was a real throwback to when the customer experience meant something. Food was superb. Only outmatched by the doting service & romantic atmosphere. Truly a great experience
