I absolutely loved our experience here at Le Continental! We went for my birthday dinner, & the restaurant did not disappoint.
As soon as you walk in, the quality of customer experience shines as they seat you at your table & begin introductions. They have menus in multiple language options for tourists as well.
The star of the dining experience was tableside cooking. From the fire show, to the tenderness of the steak, to the rich flavor of the jus they make in front of you, I only have good things to say about this restaurant. I will definitely be back with a bigger family if I were to travel here again.

More than delicious beautiful food this place is the complete experience in fine dining like nothing else. This is where you go to celebrate, propose, & create memories for a lifetime! We had the steak & it cooks right next to you. The waiters are the chefs! Just look at the pics & video. & not as expensive as you might think.
Remy provided exceptional service making this celebratory meal memorable. From a Caesar salad made at the table to flambé steak then peaches it was fun & tasty.
Le Continental is a must-have experience if you are fine dining in Old Quebec! We went there recently & the food & service was impeccable. Our waiter Alberto was friendly, kind, & accommodating. He did a great job cooking my steak to perfection. He was also very good with our two children who were dining with us. We could tell he took a lot of pride in working at this wonderful restaurant We also had the lobster bisque, a cheese platter, a mini filet for my daughter, veal medallions, & the beef Wellington. Every dish was exceptionally prepared. Highly recommend making a reservation here if you are in Old Quebec!
Une autre excellent soirée au Continental. Le spectacle des mets préparés à coté de la table, surtout les flambés, est toujours le clou de la soirée. Nous y retournons deux fois par années. Deux petits bémols cette fois-ci. Une table avait une soirée bien arrosée & les gens attablés criaient très fort. Le maître d'hôtel aurait pu leur demander de baisser un peu le ton. A la fin du repas, ma belle fille qui avait commandé un steak ne pouvait le finir (grosse portion) & elle a demandé si elle pouvait rapporter le reste à la maison. Je sais que ce n'est pas le genre de restaurant qui a cette demande souvent, mais le serveur s'est moqué un peu d'elle disant que la CIVID était terminée & que le restaurant ne faisait plus de "take out". Il a quand même acquiescé à sa demande. Cela a un peu gâché une soirée qui coûte quand même très cher. Merci à tous les autres membres du personnel qui ont été à l'hauteur de leur tâche.
We have had many wonderful meals in beautiful Quebec City over the past week, but last night's meal at Le Continental was as close to perfection as it gets. From the warm & inviting elegant ambience to the attentive & professional staff, it could not be better. The food was fabulous. We had the chateaubriand for 2 & the steak was cooked at our table. The accompanying dauphinois potatoes , spinach, asparagus & carrots were superb. My husband started with oysters & I had the turnip soup (delicious). Dessert was sorbet & also the maple & pecan cake. The food was beautifully prepared, hot, & truly the best meal we have had in a long time. I felt the prices were very fair. All in all, a wonderful evening. Thank you to all who served us. Special thanks to the chef & to two of our servers, Hugo & Mathieu.
My husband & I booked a table here during our honeymoon at the recommendation of a co-worker of mine. It was the coolest dining experience we have ever had. Right from the second we walked up to the door we received the best service we have ever had a a restaurant. The man at the host desk was very kind & entertained my sub par (at best) French, joking that he appreciated the effort & would continue to speak to me in French so I could practice. Our server came to the table & right away asked if we would prefer French or English. We started with the Caesar salad for two as our appetizer. It was assembled right at the table, with our server explaining every ingredient as he mixed it in. It was a very large portion & was phenomenal. Next we both decided on the peppercorn strip loin as our mains. It was such a cool experience to have the steak cooked in front of us, & of course the flambé piece was quite the show. The side dish was asparagus, roasted potatoes & diced carrots in a cream sauce. They were all good but nothing special, the steak was definitely the star of the show. All of the staff was interactive & attentive. At no point did either of our water glasses or other drinks get empty before they were refilled or we were asked if we would like another. My husband had beer & I started with a cosmopolitan, & had a glass of Pinot noir with my main. The staff were very knowledgeable regarding drink options & flavour profiles when it came to pairing a wine with the food options. For dessert we got the crème brûlée to share which was just as amazing as everything else. We would 100% return to this restaurant & recommend it to anyone looking for a one of a kind type of dining experience.
