My overall impression of this place is quite mixed. On the one hand, there were several positives. I went there with my partner, & we each ordered one main dish & a drink. The restaurant has a great location & very reasonable prices. We were also pleasantly surprised by the live music - a young woman was singing & playing guitar beautifully, which really added to the atmosphere. The food was also good: my partner had the chicken burger, & I ordered a chicken & vegetable crepe. Both were tasty, especially for a spot in a tourist area. So when it comes to food & setting, there's really nothing to complain about.

But unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. While the server was fine during the meal, the issue came at the time of payment. As we were paying, he stared directly at the payment terminal, watching the screen while we were choosing the tip amount. Then, after we had finished, he actually confronted us for leaving what he thought was'too small' of a tip. It wasn't just a polite check-in like'Was everything okay?' - instead, he launched into a rude & pushy rant, saying he was underpaid, that we were'rich,' & that we should be tipping much more.

In the moment, we were shocked into silence - even though we did leave a tip, just not as much as he demanded. Looking back, I realize how unacceptable that behaviour was. Tips are not mandatory!!! they're voluntary & entirely up to the guest, whether that's 10, 15, 18, 20, 25%, or even 0.

So, while the restaurant itself was pleasant - good location, nice music, & decent food - the service was a huge disappointment. The server's behaviour left such a negative impression that we regretted leaving him anything at all.

Overall: a very mixed experience. Nice place, but after this, we definitely won't be coming back.

Service: -100/10.

Crepes & fondue - what's not to love! Great atmosphere & attentive staff - William joyfully encouraged our attempts at conversing in French & made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Cheese fondue with a side of sliced apples & a ham & cheese crepe (along with beer & wine) was just right for our family of four. Glad we stopped by after a morning of touring - we really enjoyed our visit!

cozy restaurant in the city center. the staff was very attentive, the fondue was delicious, the nachos were okay, the guacamole lacked some flavour, but the most delicious were the crepes. the maple butter one was outstanding & the nutella & banana was also amazing! the prices are high but what its expected for quebec.
