We stopped for lunch. This place is very popular so we had a 20 minute wait. The food was fresh. Good value for price. My starter was chicken liver mousse which came with Melba style toast, sweet pickles red onions & julep carrots on lettuce. This was followed by the duck salad & the portion was generous with a good variety of vegetables, black olives & croutons. The duck had a small amount of bacon bits mixed in. The salad came dressed with just the right amount of dressing. It was very enjoyable & the waiter was very attentive. My friend had the entrecôte which was cooked to perfection.

The food was excellent & delicious. Service was very good. The waiters were very attentive. If you arrive before 7 pm you might get a place without reservation but I would recommend a reservation if you want to eat hear. We shared a dessert & it was delicious & more than enough for us.

The steak was decent, though it didn't compare to the renowned Le Relais Entrecôte chain. The service, however, was exceptional, with Mathew being especially cheerful & attentive to every detail.

Great location & atmosphere, the servers are attentive & the manager was very accommodating of my grandparents who didn't speak english or french. The poutine could use some more gravy to melt the cheese but the duck leg was perfect.

The location is bustling & perfectly captures the touristy vibe of the area. We started with the soup of the day, which was absolutely delicious. For the main course, I opted for the Duck Leg Confit. I requested a larger salad instead of the usual French fries, & I was not disappointed; the duck was flavourful, juicy, & beautifully cooked. The'Sunset on the Beach' cocktail was a delightful surprise with a robust kick of alcohol, making it a memorable part of the meal. For dessert, we had Crème Brûlée accompanied by biscuits. While the crème brûlée was decadent & thoroughly enjoyable, the biscuits were unfortunately very dry & did not complement the dessert well. A note on pricing - being in a tourist-heavy area, the prices at L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean are somewhat above average. However, the quick service & attentive waiter helped justify the cost & added to the overall positive experience. While the meal had its highs, the mixed quality of the desserts & the slightly premium prices are worth keeping in mind. This spot has great potential, especially for those looking to savour a taste of local cuisine in a lively setting. kellychan360

7oz steak Table d'hote $43, you can choose fries, salad or cooked vegetables. I had $42 duck confit (2 pieces) Table d'hote. It's not on the menu (I just had to ask). Fresh salad. Attentive service. It's a bit noisy in the restaurant, but good atmosphere. 15%-18% & 22% tipping option on credit card machine.

We enjoyed our meal here. Really enjoyed our waiter...he was super helpful & attentive. The food was excellent...starting with the salad & cream of onion soup. I got the chicken & root veggies...my wife got the steak & frites. Steak wasn't as good as she hoped but was ok. Beautiful space on a chilly night.

Good food but the ratio sides to meat was a bit off as I got a bit too many fries for my 7oz steak. Meat was cooked to perfection & sauce was really good too.

Staff was very accommodating given that I came in a bit before closing. Very kind & attentive to the customers. Thank you for a good experience
