C'est une critique personnelle car ceux avec qui j'etais on vraiment aimé. Les 2 dernières fois allé, ma salade etait molle, le poulet EXTRÊMEMENT DURE & trop cuit, comme des roches, j'en ai parlé avec mon serveur....... il ne m'est jamais revenu avec ma demande & même reparlé comme si je ne lui avait rien dit. Donc pour ma part c'est plus qu'ordinaire. Nous sommes allé samedi le 14 sept.
Grilled chicken Greek salad. Fresh bib lettuce, nice hot grilled chicken, olives, sliced tomatoes with blocks of feta. Pretty basic but good. Dressing tasted homemade. Service was quick & efficient.
The duck leg confit was amazing & in my opinion, excellent value at $29! It comes with two full legs along with a decent portion of fries & super fresh mixed salad. The vegetable cream soup was hot & flavourful. The fresh bread was super food. Creme Brulee was good enough. Oh, Quebec white was very nice. Our server was friendly.

The salad that was supposed to be "Boston" was a substitute. The fries were not crispy, & the steak was a little tough with very little gravy provided. The bread was not fresh. I was an avid customer at the Entrecote St-Jean in Montreal, & this is no match. Unfortunately, the Montreal restaurant is closed!
My wife had the duck confit which was very delicious. The side salad served with it was tasteless & dry. It needed more dressing for sure. I had the steak frites The steak was cooked perfectly but I thought it was a little bland, needed more seasoning Also the famous mustard sauce was not that flavorful. The matchstick fries are quite tasty although you have to ask for ketchup as it's not typically something served at a French restaurant. A table along the sidewalk was very nice.
I had tried making a reservation through the google maps & nothing was available until later. We went ahead & walked there from our hotel & were seated immediately outside. We both ordered the house special. If you are American like us, you won't see the word steak but it is essentially steak & fries. We ordered the smaller size as it comes with soup of the day, salad, bread, steak cooked to order with an amazing sauce & matchstick fries. There is also coffee & dessert(cream puff shell filled with vanilla ice cream & covered in chocolate sauce & almond slivers). All was delicious. I had 2white sangrias & my partner had a beer. Total before tip was $130 which is reasonable for the area & everything that you get.
2 septembre. 2 menus table d'hôtes. Un potage excellent mais la moitié d une tasse (trop peu). 1 salade avec 3 moitiés de noix (trop peu). 1 entrecôte : 1 pièce ridiculement petit. Sommes répartis frustrés & déçus. Rendement quand tu nous tiens
3e visite en 30 ans. Je gardais un très bon souvenir gustatif de mes deux premières visites. Nous formions un groupe de huit & la moitié du groupe s'est trouvé très déçu, notamment par la viande. Les profiteroles sont toujours aussi bons. C'est tout. J'ai pris la table d'hôte. Soupe moyenne. Toutes les salades vertes étaient noyées sous la vignette. Dans le groupe, ceux qui on pris 5 ou 7 onces ont reçu une entrecote avec la cuisson demandée. La qualité perçue était cependant en bas des attentes. Pour ma part, ma pièce de viande de 9 onces ne ressemblait pas du tout à de l' entrecote. Je suis encore sceptique. La fameuse sauce St-Jean manquait de crémeux. L'accueil est sympatique & le service rapide dans un cadre agréable.
This restuarant is an amazing value. The steaks are great & well priced. They offer a 4 course meal including a soup & salad with steak & then dessert & coffee for a very reasonable price. The salad was particularly good. Prices on the steak meals vary based on the size you get. You can order you steaks in either a 5,7, or 9 oz option. I really hope to return to this place.
