Le menu était quant à moi un beau projet en soi.
Le raffinement au niveau des épices manque d'originalité pour nous faire vire un expérience culinaire plus raffinée.

Un restaurant 5 étoiles d'une qualité exceptionnelle. 13 ans que nous y allons à l'occasion de la St-Valentin & cette tradition n'est pas sur le point d'arrêter! Merci pour votre cuisine plus que raffinée.

All the times were booked for "le jour d'amor" in the old town, so I looked across the river to Lévis for help, & L'Intimiste. Staff (merci Marc) went out of their way to make our Valentines dinner superb. Special menu for 2 was a shared event — from the amuse bouche, pate in maple cotton candy, to the dessert, cheesecake with a chocolate bomb side — inspired yet crave-worthy. My favorite was the crudo de mer with "jujube" smoked maple salmon, scallop ceviche resting on a tuna tartare (perfectly paired with a crisp cold Sauvignon Blanc). My love went for her "roots" with the beet soup (with a "floating " heart) & the veal vs lobster mains were skillfully prepared (risotto, although cooked perfectly was a bit bland, but a reasonable background for the savory lobster tail). In all, it was worth the ride, next time we'll try to time it with the ferry. The summer time I think would be a phenomenal time for an adventure across the river! We're definitely going back!
