I found this place on maps but was a bit confused when we got here.
Look out for the'cafe st-louis' sign, there is no Mayflower sign.

The decor needs some work but I assume it's recently been opened & the focus is on making good coffee.

Service was pleasant & quick, we sat outside, it's a nice place to relax.
The Cortado & flat white we're well made, great milk texture & coffee flavour.

They don't (or didn't when we arrived) have decaf though so keep that in mind.

Overall good little local place. Would love the decor to match the coffee quality too though.

Best espresso drinks in Québec City, in my opinion. Been going for several years & the quality is consistently very high. I also appreciate that they sell interesting coffees from different roasters. They make their own now, too, but sometimes it's nice to be able to try a specialty roaster's coffee which is hard to find otherwise. The coffee I had with Onyx's espresso was probably the best cup I've ever had. The focus of this place is specialty coffee - not food - but if you're into coffee it's perfect.

The high quality of Mayflower's coffee is distinct, & this humble shop should not be missed. The vanilla & maple lattes are delicious!
