They were a little unfriendly (Maybe they preferred serving Francophone customers.) Their coffee beans were too sour, & they didn't even have cookies available to order with the coffee. Totally we have heard something different from something had been experienced.

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, really disappointing pastry & coffee. The abricotine was soft & not crispy like a fresh pastry should be & the cappuccino was a big meh.

I've been a regular at Nektar in Limoilou for a while, & there's a lot to love about this coffee shop. The coffee is generally excellent, though it's slightly more expensive than other nearby spots like Café Mila or Café Cantook. But you're paying for quality, & the drinks here rarely disappoint. The service is also top-notch-staff are always friendly, & it's a pleasure to be greeted with a warm smile. However, the real reason I'm leaving this review is the internet speed. As someone who often comes here to work, the Wi-Fi has been a consistent frustration. A recent speed test showed just 8 Mbps download & 4 Mbps upload. I'm using a 2024 MacBook Pro with Private Relay off, no VPN, so it's not an issue on my end. Unfortunately, in 2024, this speed just doesn't cut it, especially when other nearby coffee shops offer much faster connections. While I love the coffee & the vibe, the slow internet is a significant drawback for anyone who needs to get work done. Until this improves, I find myself leaning toward other places when I need a workspace as well as a good cup of coffee. If you're here just to relax & enjoy a drink, Nektar is fantastic. But if you need reliable internet, you might want to consider other options.

Very disappointing. Drove miles out of our way to visit this coffee spot. Their photos show latte art. We were expecting a third wave coffee shop with at least an attempt at latte art. No effort was made to create a memorable coffee experience.
