Restaurant Parmesan was founded by true Italians over 48 years ago. Over the years, Luigi (known to all) has passed on his passion for food and Italian customs such as La Dolce Vita, hot chestnuts in autumn, our traditional balsamic vinegar, our famous homemade prosciutto and many other well-kept secrets. Over the years, Luigi has amassed over 4,000 bottles that are displayed throughout this museum that is Parmesan.

Wonderful dinner at a reasonable price. An amazing place with SO many cute nic-nacs & various bottles, etc. all over the walls. Service was awesome. Dessert was great!
Le restaurant est situé au centre touristique de la ville. Décor quitsch du restaurant qui lui donne son charme. Pizza prosciuto luigi: excellente, penne arrabiata: bonne, linguine au beurre: acceptable. Dessert: coupe à la vanille & aux fruits des bois. Serveurs sympathiques, bonne ambiance. Je recommande fortement la pizza prosciuto luigi.
Un restaurant que tout le monde de Québec devraient avoir essayé une fois dans sa vie . Un classique Italien , & quand je dis classique c'est le mot exact . Le resto avec un cachet qui nous fait voyager . Un menu classique autant dans la présentation que dans le choix . Nous avons pris le gros repas de bouille à baisse aux fruits de mer qui pouvait nourrir 3 personnes . Quel expérience exceptionnelle . Avec une entré de fondue parmesan & de calmars frits .Pour terminer,deux desserts,de la grappa & des cafés flambés , avec un beau spectacle devant nous avec le guéridon.le service a été du début à la fin attentionné & très très très joviale . Merci pour cette belle expérience culinaire

This is a fun place, & the food & wine were excellent. The service was attentive, polite, & skillful but overworked during our visit at the busiest time of evening. The owner is a collector, so there's lots to keep your eyes busy while you wait. It was somewhat noisy but we were able to talk. Some of the desserts are especially interesting & they have at least 7-8 grappas for after dinner 😋
Loved the atmosphere but food was just okay at best, & highly overpriced. The veal Parmesan which is their featured dish was almost $40, but hardly had any cheese or tomato sauce on it. The spaghetti that came with it wasn't even that good. If it's any consolation the calamari appetizer was much better & the espresso was one of the better ones I've had in a long time. I asked if they had any affogato (espresso poured on gelato) for dessert but the waiter had no idea what it was. That's as simple of a dessert as it gets. Not sure how they consider themselves as an Italian restaurant based o a few of these points alone. Oh ya one more thing.... the gentleman on the accordion was good which her husband contributed to the atmosphere & also attracting people o to the restaurant. If this is their normal food for this price go elsewhere.
Been here multiple times before. Food is OK, & slightly over priced. The entertainment was wonderful. Only con: bypass the Tiramisu dessert as it was not tasty at all.
I rarely share reviews for restaurants, but when I do the experience was truly special. Parmesan is a warm, friendly & to some degree tourist focused experience, yet the welcome & service we received from the promptly seated reservation for 4, through appetizers, main & dessert was indeed special. The food was as well prepared, well presented & heart warming, followed by very tasty dessert & table side showcase of cafes flambée. The intense & exciting decor kept us looking, & as F1 fans, the Billeneube shrine was noted!🥳. A fantastic Monday night meal!!! French or English - pas de problème.
My family & I are from Florida visiting Quebec City, Canada looking for & Italian place to eat at. We passed by this warm & welcoming restaurant & we were absolutely impressed with our experience. It was a very home-like experience, with personal assistance & great food. From drinks to dinner to dessert, everything was what we expected to be in an Italian restaurant! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great sit down Italian dinner with impeccable service & food!
We were enticed by the very authentic atmosphere & had high hopes for simple comfort food. My husband is Italian & greatly appreciated the decor which reminded him of his parents' house. When the basket of bread arrived, we began to have doubts. The bread was cold. Some pieces looked like they were leftovers fron another table - different texture altogether. Butter was cold making it difficult to spread. The margarita pizza was the worst he'd ever eaten - too much sauce & cheese with no recognizable margarita flavour. The pasta arrabbiata was okay. We passed on dessert & left feeling that we had paid far too much for a less than mediocre meal. We should have spoken up while at the restaurant but, honestly, just wanted to get out.
The most intimate lovely experience with elevated Italian dishes & decadent desserts. The staff made you feel so very special. The decoratives, wood burning fireplace, & your own personal table side accordion player whisk you off your feet. We brought our children here celebrating our anniversary & it was also very family friendly with a dessert bar to observe while you're eating. Parmesan is a must see restaurant arguably the best closest to château Frontenac!
