Restaurant Parmesan was founded by true Italians over 48 years ago. Over the years, Luigi (known to all) has passed on his passion for food and Italian customs such as La Dolce Vita, hot chestnuts in autumn, our traditional balsamic vinegar, our famous homemade prosciutto and many other well-kept secrets. Over the years, Luigi has amassed over 4,000 bottles that are displayed throughout this museum that is Parmesan.

The atmosphere was pleasant & steritypically evocative. I expected more, especially in a city like Quebec, known for its culinary subtleties. New York City's Italian restaurants are generally really really really really crappy ( no exaggeration), but NYC ain't a French city catering to people who were for generations brought up thinking about taste, as the French generally were! This restaurant would be right at home in Manhattan as a replacement for Mamma Leone -- & that is not a complement! By the way, offering freshly ground pepper in an Italian restaurant is an INSULT!
A Wonderful Birthday Celebration at Parmesan Restaurant in Old Quebec!
I highly recommend Parmesan Restaurant in Old Quebec City! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a warm, charming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The restaurant is absolutely adorable, & the live accordion player added such a special touch to the evening, singing beautifully in both Italian & French & creating a truly authentic & memorable experience.
The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, & went above & beyond to make my birthday extra special. To my surprise, they brought out a birthday cake, sang a birthday song, & even took a picture of me & my best friend for us to keep as a wonderful souvenir. It was such a thoughtful gesture & made the celebration unforgettable.
The food was delicious, & every dish was prepared with care & flavor. Combined with the cozy ambiance & exceptional hospitality, it made for a perfect evening.
If you're planning to visit, be sure to make a reservation, especially if you want to dine at a specific time, as the restaurant is very popular & waiting times can be long.

The staff was AMAZING & especially Elliot! We were stopped in surprise when we passed by & had to stop in because it was so beautiful & had many things to look at like the memorabilia & the Ferrari room. I highly recommend this place to people who don't usually eat Italian cuisine daily & would be a good place to visit with kids as it has some options for them. Great thanks to Elliot for serving us!
What a wonderful find. It was our last day in Quebec & we stumbled upon this quaint Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was so cozy & charming. The staff were super friendly without being in your face every 5 minutes. The live accordion music made you feel like you were in Italy. The food was excellent, a bit on the pricy side, but worth it. Highly recommend!
Very unique italian restaurant. Nice decor. Good live musique. Food is copious & friendly pricing. Cozy place & quite crowded, feel like squeezed. But despite the crowd, it was easy to talk.

The basil garlic pasta taste sooo bad no flavour tasted like water. People who say this is the best Italian have zero taste. Very overpriced for the quality
Delicious & authentic Italian food served here. We have been here a few times & today we were there for lunch today, & had the lunch special which was a salad, pizza, & coffee, & also a linguine with basil & garlic sauce which was excellent. The last time we were here was for dinner & they also had entertainment. The food has not disappointed me yet.
Restaurant Parmesan has been the restaurant where we have had the best service my husband & I have EVER had. They take your coat, & every detail is catered to. Refined attention in a friendly family atmosphere, this Italian restaurant highly recommended. Diego our waiter was exceptional. My husband & I had a phenomenal anniversary dinner. Thank you Diego!!!
I have tried many restaurants in Quebec & took a class to be a Tour Guide in the city & one of the things we were taught was get to know the restaurants so we could recommend them to visitors . Both the exterior & it's fanciful interior are elegant & offer a unique cozy Italian flair. When one enters, you are immediately taken care of & given the best seats available. There's nothing uncaring about the way one is treated. I've tried different plates from the menu & they all have been superb. The waiters are perfection & are supported by staff assistants. As you enter this charming environment you will see on your left a banquet of desserts available that have no equal in all of Old Quebec!
