Over the years, Luigi (known to all) has passed on his passion for food and Italian customs such as La Dolce Vita, hot chestnuts in autumn, our traditional balsamic vinegar, our famous homemade prosciutto and many other well-kept secrets. Over the years, Luigi has amassed over 4,000 bottles that are displayed throughout this museum that is Parmesan.

GABRIEL & STELLA here. We drove from Montreal to visit & meet my cousin Joe, the accordian player/singer at Parmesan Restaurant, saturday August 22 for dinner. Its our 3rd time coming here each time during the summer season. My wife & myself we had an excellent & unforgettable FUN evening. We ordered the oven cooked Lasagna & the Steak main plates with Caesar salade & Calamari as antipastos ! The Lasagna & Steak was delicious & perfectly cooked. The Calamari had a special yummy flavor ! The waitor David is the best! He made sure he gave us time to enjoy our antipastos before the main plates. He was always coming back to us to make sure we were ok. Best waitor ever hands down! Thank you David. The accordian player Joe, my cousin, the reason we came to visit Parmesan restaurant, is a class act gentleman & an amazing accordian player & singer ! The customers were in awe & they all just wanted more from Joe ! Lucky for me, being his cousin, he played & sang to me & my wife at our table 3 times!!! Me & my wife we cannot express enough gratitude to Joe, he made all the necessary arrangements for us at Parmesan restaurant! THANK YOU COUSIN JOE ! Absolutely loved my experience. My special lady ordered the best spaghetti I ever tasted. Great wine & booze selection, with reasonable options, but a very high ceiling. Loved the veal marsala. The kids menu is naturally a bit blander, but like omg, if your little friend is ordering spaghetti, boost them to the adult menu. Take the plunge, they'll love it.
The accordion guy was just perfect in this context, & he was playing lots of songs I recognized, including a bunch of modern ones. Loved his cover of Putting on the Ritz, & also Fastball the Way was excellent. Honestly, the music & theatre of it was really what my heart needed at that moment, & I just loved my meal there & would 100% return next time in Old Quebec.
My party decided quickly, but I found myself slow to order because there were a half dozen options that interested me & I knew it'd be a spell before I made it back. We ordered garlic bread, & then they bring you bread & butter anyways, so that was a bit of uh a duh, but we ate both & the garlic bread was tastier for sure. Escargot was fine, sure I've had better, but I barely noticed because I was very much digging the vibe. Super fun place for a pair of couples to have dinner & drink a couple bottles of wine.
The waiting staff was professional & friendly, & just the right level of attentiveness. I didn't struggle at communicating using my limited French, & there were plenty of staff who did know English. A minor quibble is when I asked for pepper, they brought me a pepper shaker, when the setting really calls for a grinder I think. Especially when they're already bringing parm by the loving spoonful.
It was a diverse crowd, where well behaved kids are welcome. The noise levels were where I could talk to my party comfortably, but didn't really hear others talking, despite close seating. Visually it was very interesting, & I smiled when I noticed a picture of the according guy, doing the same thing decades ago. He clearly enjoys doing it, & the enthusiasm just makes it all the more fun. Like I'm not normally spinning up according music in the car, but it was perfection on a warm summer night when we stumbled upon this delightful restaurant near the centre of Old Quebec.
Overall, I walked home, holding hands, happy & satisfied, thinking I'd love to return some day.

Nous aimons aller au restaurant tôt en fin pm, afin de profiter du service plus personnel. La nourriture était excellente, le propriétaire nous a fait le service & nous avons pu discuter avec lui. Nous aimons la cuisine italienne & nous avons été très satisfait.
I tried to order the chicken in white wine sauce (which costs about $35) & told the waiter I had a dairy allergy - I asked if this would be a problem that if it was I could order something else. He said it would not be a problem & that they would just make it without cheese. When my food comes out, it has ZERO sauce - just BOILED CHICKEN & SPAGHETTI. They still charged me the full nearly $35 for it. Another guest in my party specifically pointed to a roughly $10 wine on the menu & confirmed with the waiter this is what she wanted, & she ended up with a more expensive one than what she wanted. To make matters worse, after I finished my one single entree that I ate, THE WAITER ASKED IF I LICKED THE PLATE. Absolutely disgusting & disrespectful remark to make to a young woman who is eating.
