Polina Pizzeria is frequently highlighted as a standout dining destination in Old Quebec City, known for its authentic Italian cuisine and warm, inviting atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the high quality and fresh ingredients of the pizzas and pasta dishes, with many noting the crusts are perfectly prepared and the flavors well-balanced. Beyond the food, the service is widely described as friendly, attentive, and efficient, contributing to a memorable experience for both families and couples. While the restaurant is popular and can occasionally become quite busy, the general consensus is that the charming setting, welcoming staff, and delicious menu make it a highly recommended spot for those seeking a comforting and genuine meal.
?I recently visited Polina Pizzeria with a group of four. We all ordered the spaghetti Alfredo with grilled chicken, but the waitress misunderstood & brought out just one portion along with four empty plates to share. While this was an understandable mix-up, the plate I received was filthy. When I asked for a replacement, the waitress took it away without a single word of apology or acknowledgment.
?Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The spaghetti Alfredo was honestly the worst I've ever had & definitely did not live up to the hype. I understand that restaurants can have an off day, but my personal experience was really disappointing. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback to improve
The staff were very friendly & the service was great. I had the French onion soup to start & it was fabulous...not too strong. I then had the Classic Pepperoni Pizza & it was delicious. My wife had spaghetti & it was also great. Highly recommend this place for a nice evening.
Had a delicious pizza & spaghetti dinner. Good taste ( I'm from NYC & New Jersey so I know what good Italian tastes like). Small venue so make reservation. Not an extensive menu but has the favorites.

We were looking for a restaurant with delicious vegan options, & we're so glad we had dinner here. We ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce & a Margherita pizza for the kids with vegan cheese, & ordered another pizza (the name is escaping me) artichokes, pine nuts & other deliciousness. The pizza was SO good that we waited to order another pizza. The vegan cheese they use is so delicious & the crust was deliciously thin. We were so impressed with the food & the pizza in particular that we hope to return very soon. My italian husband said it's the best vegan pizza he has ever had! The service was stellar...very attentive & patient wait staff. & just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it's so close to the Château Frontenac that you can see it from the outdoor patio! Excellent food, location & service, with delicious vegan options...what more could we ask for?!
We chose this Italian restaurant for dinner on two consecutive evenings.
On the first night, we ordered the La Margarita pizza, Coscia d'anatra confit (duck leg), & iced tea. The pizza was authentic & nicely cooked, & the duck leg was perfectly done, just as we requested - served with fries, & I really loved it. However, we didn't enjoy the iced tea.
During our second visit, I wasn't very hungry, so we went with the Spaghetti alla Napoletana & a crème brûlée. The pasta was good, especially the sauce - simple & flavorful. The crème brûlée was the best we had on our trip.
We had reserved a table for our first visit, but on the second evening, we considered getting takeout. Unfortunately, we were told they weren't doing takeout that evening, & we ended up waiting around 20-30 minutes for a table. The staff member managing the front that night seemed a bit rude, & we noticed several customers leaving after being turned away or kept waiting.
Thankfully, a staff member from the previous evening eventually recognized us & helped us get seated. That really saved the experience for us.
So overall - the food is good, & I'd recommend this place, but make sure to book a table in advance!
The atmosphere was charming & quaint, with an authentic Italian feel. The service was great & the food was exceptional.
We both loved the pasta(Alfredo & Spaghetti bolognese) & the kids enjoyed their pizzas. I would definitely recommend adding the pancetta to the Alfredo.
We have to stop every time we're in Quebec City & have always enjoyed fantastic service & whatever we've ordered.
