We've eaten here 2 times & the food was wonderful.Lamb Shank is absolutely delicious.Spareribs delicious & generous portions. The New York with Wild Mushrooms Sage sauce was delicious. The child's menu is fantastic;. All are in house made meals. I highly recommend Beffroi Steakhouse!

My recent stay at Hotel Royal Palace in Quebec City was a captivating mix of elegance &, regrettably, some culinary disappointments. The hotel itself is a gem, with rooms that boast views so mesmerizing they seem almost painted. From my room, I had the pleasure of overlooking the majestic Edifice Prince & the iconic Chateau Frontenac-truly a sight to behold. Unfortunately, my dining experience at the hotel's Beffroi Steakhouse did not match the splendor of the accommodations. Upon our arrival, my wife & I were initially seated at a less-than-ideal table. Despite numerous empty tables with stunning views, our request for a better seat was only partially accommodated, giving one of us a view of the beautiful city while the other faced the interior. The fact that there were plenty of open tables with a view made the situation particularly frustrating & set an uncomfortable tone for the evening. I began the meal on a high note with a delightful bottle of Chateau Rocher Corbin 2020. This French wine, with its rich, velvety texture & robust flavor profile, exemplifies the excellence of a well-aged Bordeaux. Its deep ruby color & notes of dark berries with subtle hints of spice made it a perfect complement to the meal. I ordered a lamb shank, which was tender & flavorful, served with mashed potatoes instead of the usual corn-a substitution that I found particularly pleasing. This, however, was the extent of the positive aspects of our meal. My wife opted for the salmon & shrimp with vegetables, a dish highly recommended by our waitress. Alas, this was where the evening took a turn for the worse. The salmon arrived overcooked & as dry as the dessert, its flesh marred by unsightly burn marks that suggested a fundamental misunderstanding of proper cooking techniques. The accompanying green beans, far from the tender-crisp delight one would expect, were practically raw, offering an unpleasantly earthy crunch with each bite. When we delicately shared our observations with the waitress, her reaction was less than accommodating. Defensive & dismissive, she insisted that the charred salmon was a result of it being "grilled," a justification that held as much water as a sieve. Her reluctance to convey our feedback to the chef, coupled with an air of indifference, was profoundly disheartening. It reached a point where I had to firmly remind her that our intent was not to argue but to provide constructive feedback. The evening concluded on a decidedly sour note when our tip, which reflected our disappointing experience, prompted the waitress to storm off without a hint of remorse or understanding. In conclusion, while I highly recommend Hotel Royal Palace for its stunning accommodations & breathtaking views, I would advise caution when considering dining at Beffroi Steakhouse. Quebec City is a culinary haven, teeming with exceptional dining options that far surpass what we experienced. Allow your stay in this enchanting city to be complemented by its culinary treasures, which can be found in abundance elsewhere.

Service exceptionnel comme à l'habitude. Un gros merci à Clément pour sa gentillesse & ses recommandations en vin exceptionnelles. & que dire de la nourriture ... un bon steak de côte comme je n'en avais pas mangé depuis longtemps !! J'ai hâte de revenir avec ma famille dans 2 semaines !!!

I had Alex as my waiter tonight, what an amazing services he did, knew when we needed something & was able to speak thruthfully when we asked him question about the food or drinks, ambiance was perfect, not too crowded good backgroung music, food was amazing highly recommend the place & Alex as the waite

Quelle agréable découverte ! Nous avons été séduits par la qualité exceptionnelle des plats proposés, le tout à un prix très raisonnable. Dîner extra muros a été une expérience des plus plaisantes. Étant donné que mon conjoint travail la viande, nous sommes toujours attentifs à la qualité de la viande, & nous avons été ravis de constater que celle-ci était vraiment excellente. Nous avons également été impressionnés par le large choix de viandes provenant de différentes localisations. Personnellement, j'ai opté pour les pâtes au canard confit, & quel délice ! Un véritable festin pour les papilles ! De plus, l'ambiance dans le bâtiment est très agréable, calme, avec une vue magnifique sur la Porte Saint-Jean. Le bâtiment lui-même dégage une atmosphère chic & élégante. De plus, nous avons apprécié le fait qu'il y ait peu d'attente, ce qui a ajouté à notre expérience positive. Le service était chaleureux & professionnel. En résumé, nous recommandons vivement cet établissement à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience culinaire de qualité à un prix abordable, dans un cadre élégant & avec un service impeccable.
