WoW quel bon souper!
Overall, we had a good stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, the views were beautiful, & the property was clean & well maintained.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was a major disappointment. The cocktails were served noticeably underfilled, which felt poor value for the price. We also ordered the fish & chips, & for $33 it was incredibly underwhelming-just two small pieces of fish presented in a pretentious way with fries from McDonald's it seemed like! The portion size & quality simply didn't justify the cost.
We would recommend the hotel itself for its location, cleanliness, & views, but we'd suggest eating elsewhere.

Very disappointed! My friend & I were excited to sit on the terrace. It was good at first, ordered some drinks while waiting for the main course, surprisingly the dishes were very disappointing & bland, the unseasoned chicken appeared to be boiled on top of the spaghetti & the bologna spaghetti was too salty. However what stood out to me is the moment the waitress disappeared. Another waiter cleared our plates & asked if we would like some dessert which we accepted, he brought the menu, 30 minutes later nobody showed up. Servers kept coming & checking on other costumers except for us! We couldn't even get the check, we decided eventually to go & pay at the bar. & our waitress was there eating food.
Very unprofessional & definitely not worth 100$+ spent in there...
We stayed over one night in the hotel & had dinner here. We ordered the plate-sized beef tartare & chicken caesar salad.
The beef tartare was actually quite good. It was seasoned & fresh, & was a healthy portion. Sadly, this was the only redeeming aspect of our meal.
The chicken caesar salad was shockingly bad. The chicken was overcooked, dry, & tasted as if it had been refrigerated for too many days. The romaine was limp & with barely any caesar dressing on it. A few scant slivers of parmesan & rubbery bacon were equally unappealing. Worst of all, the croutons were inedible owing to an unpleasant rancid flavour.
For the beef tartare plate (again, not including the tartare itself which was of good quality) the fries were cold & chewy, & the side salad was limp & did not taste fresh; it had an unpleasant taste & texture.
All this aside our server was pleasant & attentive. However, you will find a fresher, tastier (& far cheaper) chicken caesar salad at Wendy's. I hope our bad experience was an exception due to reasons that can be identified & resolved for the sake of future customers.
5of us were travelling all day for work. We arrived at the restaurant tired & hungry. The service was glacier. The waitress always seemed to have other things to do. I got a salade while waiting for the main dish. Which took 45 min & when ask how much longer for the meals ,we were told in a few minutes. Every one had to wait til I finished my salads . I order a club house. The chicken & bacon were both cold & hard. The bread was burnt & the lettuce was old & on its last leg. The fries were cooked probably 2 or 3 times previously as they were burnt but yet soggy. So again slow service & food not worth the prices.i wish i was exaggerating but sadly not. Out of the five people one person thought it was a ok meal but def not worth the $50 they spent.
Let's just say I was disappointed. I sat at the bar & ordered a glass of French Malbec - nice. Nothing came with it so I asked for some peanuts. They were not available. I knew that in the adjoining'La Griffe' restaurant they provided a nice bread & spread & I was hoping that this would be offered, but no. I guess I should have asked but I don't like a dining experience to be hard work - I want to be offered options! I ended up being upsold on a small bowl of olives at $6 CAD. I ordered the lobster roll ($30 CAD) with fries & that was a disappointment & took a long time to come. A lobster roll should speak for itself but this one had a'curry' dressing & included strawberries, all on a burnt roll, & impossible to hand-hold The fries were soggy. Years ago the offerings at La Grief (& presumably this adjoining bar) were superb, but I guess nothing stays the same.
