About

Royal Tandori focuses on the traditional preparation of North Indian cuisine centered around the intense heat of the clay tandoor oven. The menu features a diverse selection of halal certified dishes that showcase aromatic spices and complex spice blends essential to authentic subcontinent flavor profiles. Tender marinated meats are seared to perfection alongside freshly baked naan bread pulled directly from the clay walls. Vegetarians find a robust variety of lentil dals and paneer preparations simmered in savory, herb-infused gravies. The culinary approach prioritizes high-quality proteins and produce to ensure each plate remains consistent with regional heritage. Guests encounter a straightforward dining environment designed to highlight the pungent, zesty, and hearth-fired qualities of classic Indian culinary arts without unnecessary fanfare or decorative distraction.

Review Summary

Royal Tandoori is widely regarded as a hidden gem in Quebec City, consistently praised for its authentic Indian flavors, generous portions, and highly affordable prices. Guests frequently highlight the quality of dishes like butter chicken, naan, and various vegetarian options, noting that the kitchen is often willing to adjust spice levels to individual preferences. While the exterior might be unassuming, the interior offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere supported by a dedicated service team that is frequently described as friendly, attentive, and professional. Despite occasional feedback regarding portion consistency in takeout orders, the overall consensus is one of high satisfaction, with many patrons calling it the best Indian dining experience in the city and strongly recommending it to others.

Avoid this place & save time money both they really dont know how to cook indian food Very disappointing. I ordered the chicken korma, malai kofta, & 3 naan. The delivery took almost 2 hours by uber & both curries were unbelievably sweet-it tasted like they were cooked in sugar syrup rather than a proper curry. I could only take one bite before throwing the food away. Complete waste of money. I won't be ordering from here again.

Today we ordered Biryani from this restaurant. It's the most disgusting Biryani I ever had. The chicken pieces seemed like just boiled & mixed with rice without proper marinations. No Biryani masala was used. Even the rice wasn't proper Biryani rice rather some ordinary cheap rice. Very disappointed with the quality specially when Biryani is one of my favourite.

One of the most underrated restaurants in Quebec City! The beef Rogan Josh & chicken korma were absolutely delicious-full of authentic flavor & perfectly prepared. Great food, generous portions, & friendly service. Definitely a hidden gem that deserves more attention. Highly recommend!

The worst Indian food I ever had being an Indian!! Absolutely no flavour, there is barely any butter in Butter chicken, curries were oily to the point that we had to remove oil! The oil also felt being reused multiple times previously. & for the price they charge, it's better off to give them the money & ask them to keep it but don't need the food!

Worst experience. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, but they packed something that tasted like Mango Chicken instead. The rest of the food was also very disappointing. Please avoid this place.

Trash! This is the worst restaurant we had food from recently. Chicken 65 is sunk in gravy, upon asking we were said it's not gravy. Overall too bad!

After waiting 15-20 min when asked how much time, the chef said it's not McDonald's, & when we got the food, we did understand yes it's not McDonald's coz McD is far far better than this.
