I had a great time at Steak Avenue for my boyfriend's birthday! The atmosphere was nice & we had great service from Vanessa. Even got a surprise birthday dessert at the end of our dessert! Overall wonderful experience & would go back again.
Great experience at Steak Avenue! The entrée was excellent, the steak was cooked perfectly, & the dessert was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh & high quality. Definitely a place I'd come back to & recommend to anyone who loves a great steak dinner.
Le repas, servi sous les dômes, était très agréable. Nous avons aimé le cadre original & l'intimité offerte par ce concept ; même s'il rend le service un peu plus délicat. Le chauffage était suffisant & des couvertures polaires étaient disponibles pour les frileux. Le choix des plats était intéressant. J'ai vraiment apprécié la viande, cuite de manière idéale. La carte des vins m'a semblée pertinente & les desserts étaient à la fois copieux & fins en goût, ce qui est notable. Par dessus tout, le service pour moi était parfait. Mention particulière aux serveurs pour leur sourire, leur convivialité, leur prévenance & leur patience.

The food & the service were excellent. Our waiter, Rémi, was appropriately attentive & efficient.
We each ordered the 6 oz filet mignon. It was properly cooked & attractively presented. It was expensive for what it was: a simple meal, very nicely-prepared. For a main course only, with no appetiser, drinks or dessert, $70/person seems very high.
I made a reservation & we arrived right on time. Fifteen minutes after we were seated, the reservations clerk called my cellphone in the apparent belief that we were late. That was an annoying interruption. There seems to be something amiss with their reservation system.
This certainly didn't fulfill my expectations of a restaurant that scores 4.9 on Google Reviews.
My wife & I were at the restaurant on a summer evening in mid-August. We ordered starters, a main meal (I had the Wagyu Flank Steak, my wife the Grilled Scallops), & each had a glass of wine.
First the good - The quality of the Wagyu Flank steak was excellent, & one of the best steaks I've had this year.
Unfortunately the steak was ruined by the rest of the experience. My wife's Grilled Scallops & past were average & only came with 2 scallops despite the promise of at least 3. I'd like to comment on the quality of the starters that we ordered, but they never came. The entrees were served & when we enquired about the starters we had ordered they offered to keep the entrees'warm' whilst they prepared the starters. How can you do that with steak? & then to add to our dismay of not being given our starters I had to ask for a steak knife to be given to me for my steak. What type of steak house serves a steak without a steak knife?
& finally, the list of wines that are available for people that only want a single glass is very poor. On the original menu it had only one option, but it was only because we had looked at a separate wine list in the reception that we realized there were a couple of additional options for reds (& I mean only a couple). None very inspiring. Tip to the restaurant: look up Coravin on the internet.
So how did the restaurant respond to missing our starters? You might think that they would'comp' a dessert or glass of wine. Answer: absolutely nothing!
Net, net: Given expectations this was a disappointment. The steak was good, but the overall experience was not, & we left very disappointed.
We had a fantastic meal at Steak Avenue on the terrace with our two kids. The atmosphere & the menu were a great balance between fine dining & accommodating children. The terrace is really nice, blending modern elegance with an old world ambiance, including a stone wall covered in ivy. We had the aged steak & the salmon tartare, both excellent, & the kids ordered from the kids menu which came with bottomless drinks & a dessert. Splendid meal, thanks Lea!
Nous étions un groupe de 12 malheureusement nous avons eu nos entrer pas en même temps le service à été décousue tout la soirée. Mon conjoint sa bouffe était froide j ai demander un café au début de la soirée je l ai eu rendu au dessert.Pour le prix qui est exorbitant les assiettes était presque vide oufff ça ne valait pas le prix qu on a payer je ni retournerai jamais très déçue
My wife & I went here for her birthday celebration & this place did not disappoint! The place is gorgeous in my opinion & our waiter for the evening (Dominic) was probably top 3 people in my life that made our evening a memorable experience.
For service was equally as excellent as the food, we started off with oysters (they were from P.E.I) then went with a trio for the ceviche & sashimi (bluefin tuna, salmon & Asian style ceviche with shrimps & scallops) for the wife & I had the French onion soup which was one of the best I've tried in my life.
Main course we split the tomahawk steak with a couple of sides & you NEED TO order the foie gras butter it is exquisite 👌 & then had some dessert. I can't recommend this place enough for a memorable experience....albeit you're gonna be paying a good buck but worth every cent!!!
