It has a nice vibe like other reviews say. Pretty good overall not gonna lie, its also fresh but idk why it take them a good minute to get it all together, I think mcdonalds can be quicker but its really not a long wait (under 8 minutes)
Me & a bunch of friends went here after we heard some good things but we were very disappointed. The food is relatively expensive for the portion sizes & the food itself was not good. The gravy lacked flavor, the fries were hard & overcooked, & the cheese wasn't melted.
Overrated restaurant. The poutine was bland & not enough cheese. The washrooms downstairs were dingy & they had tables right in front of them, like who would want to eat in front of toilets.
They have a 1980s colourful fast food vibe in the interior. Ordered their meals which can come with add on poutine. Overall the burger with cheese curd was okay-ish, good for 12$, the poutine was better & only 3$ extra. Sitting area nice but metal based.
Fries & poutine were alright. The'Ashton burger' &'cheeseburger' are the same & not good at all. See photo. $45 for 2 crap burgers, fries, poutine & one drink. Now we know better 🤷
We'd just arrived to Quebec City & we're looking forward to giving Chez Ashton a try. Poutine was great & the staff were friendly. In fact, they handled a very delicate situation with grace & ease when someone entered the store experiencing a mental health crisis. They kept her safe & the customers safe. Great cheese curds on the poutine!!
If you're visiting QC, you MUST eat here (or their other locations) bc they are THE POUTINE chain in the province with fresh (not frozen) fries, gravy & the squeeky cheese curds that are a must! I get the Galvaude no peas with cheese (chicken poutine) They even bought the best Montreal pountine restaurant now, so enjoy it after a long night out (especially if drinking) they open 24hrs or at least very later ;)
