Offering a glimpse into Quebec’s past, Bar Artefact is the perfect place for enjoying a light meal and signature drinks from one of the city’s most creative cocktail menus, while surrounded by artefacts preserved in time. The bar showcases relics unearthed on site during a recent excavation dig, such as the Dauphine Battery and window displays filled with objects dating back from six distinct eras in our property’s history.

The two servers were friendly & professional-we sat by a fireplace & had amazing drinks (whisky sour & cosmopolitan) & the burger & fries. First stop in Quebec after driving from Montreal & was the perfect stop! I highly recommend.

Unfortunately the bartender was way too busy (apparently someone called out sick) but there was no responsiveness to customer needs. For one drink & one appetizer each at the bar it was 2+ hours. I would not recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time last night at Bar Artefact! Our server was wonderful, really fun & funny, & gave us wonderful service. We loved our drinks (they were delicious, high end & perfect), & the food was very good overall (fantastic oysters & charcuterie!): a couple more choices of entree would make it perfect. One of my dinner companions LOVED her salmon. Next time we are in Quebec city we will definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our dinner, ambience was wonderful & service very attentive, we all loved our meals. My only feedback for the restaurant would be that the bread had a charge & we didn't enjoy it very much because it was more coarse vrs delicious. Also I had a Mocktail called the Lolita & it was pretty to look at but there was very little taste. My friends both ordered alcoholic drinks & they both said they were delicious. Overall thank you for a wonderful evening we would love to return.
