In the heart of Old Québec, Bar Artefact brings together signature cocktails and light sharing plates, in a décor where every object tells a story. Saturdays and Sundays, from 2 to 4 pm, enjoy our tea time: an assortment of sweet and savory bites.

About

Offering a glimpse into Quebec’s past, Bar Artefact is the perfect place for enjoying a light meal and signature drinks from one of the city’s most creative cocktail menus, while surrounded by artefacts preserved in time. The bar showcases relics unearthed on site during a recent excavation dig, such as the Dauphine Battery and window displays filled with objects dating back from six distinct eras in our property’s history.

Mon endroit préféré pour un thé Sublime (mon préféré ❤?) en milieu d'après midi après une longue marche dans le Vieux Québec, en touriste dans ma ville✨

Entourée d'artéfacts, sur une banquette de velours, le temps d'une pause ressourçante & chaque fois de belles découvertes au menu.

Cette fois, découverte de la meilleure salade César au poulet, réinventée avec des produits locaux sélectionnés, avec des copeaux de Louis d'or.. un délice 😋

Excellent service! Each & every server was very attentive. We ordered charcuterie with hummus etc delicious, Burger was excellent. Perfectly prepared.

Drinks took a bit too long … while we waited we were not offered any bar snacks (peanuts/popcorn).

Once drinks were served, they were not served on coasters. We actually folded a napkin in half.

My wife ordered an Espresso Martini … served in a stemmed rock glass … they were out of martini glasses.

2 stars due to poor experience vs. cost of two drinks … it was not cheap.

I had an unforgettable afternoon tea experience. It truly was amazing 🥹
The food tasted absolutely wonderful. Each peace had its unique & creative combination of flavors. I could tell they were made with lots of care & love. They put a lot of thoughts on their tea set menu. 🫖🌸

You can taste all the tea you want, they kindly bring you a new pot every time you ask for it.

It was a special trip with my mom, & I wanted it to be perfect, but the time I had here was beyond my expectations. They were so nice & made sure we were having a good time. Without a doubt, it was the highlight of our trip! 🥰

Also super generous with portion sizes, with relatively reasonable prices!! Only $45 per person!! You will be FULL even though it's a tea party, trust me & visit with the empty stomach 😎

Would come back to Quebec ONLY to visit here again! PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY!!!

Very relaxing after a day of sight-seeing. We were welcomed graciously & seated quickly. The craft cocktails were supremely well made & served in beautiful glassware. & clear ice! The food was delicious & portions were generous. The pork ribs were great & the Caesar salad was perfect. Dessert was fantastic! The service was spot on all night. All the staff were friendly & pretended my school French was perfect! Can't say enough good about Bar Artefact.
