AMAZING! I had to stop by an Italian place while on our trip to Quebec City as I love Italian & this place had great reviews. Now that I've been, I know why. Our experience was great from the moment we walked in. We had a reservation, but had to wait a little to be seated. This wasn't a big deal as we weren't in a rush & it was a short wait.. what stood out to me was that the host apologized multiple times for the wait & offered us champagne. As someone who studied hospitality, I was impressed. The vibe, atmosphere & decor is wonderful. There's a cute bar with a brick pizza oven in the front. We were seated & quickly realized how great this place is when we got the burrata to share - so good. We all enjoyed our dishes - veal parm, a spicy shrimp pasta, veal tartare, & cod. My cod with lemon risotto was fantastic! Thank you for a great dining experience.

This was my first visit to Bello on 10/16/23. The food was wonderful. My wife was born in Italy & is very hard to please when it comes to the food at Italian restaurants. But she loved Bello. As great as the food all was, the service was even better, something I rarely can say in this era of chronically understaffed restaurants. I believe our server's name was Brittany, & there were others who jumped in to clear plates, bring dishes from the kitchen, etc. My wife & I split the fried calamari, which was light, crisp, & perfectly cooked. My main course was the veal escalllop with wine, lemon & cream sauce. It was great. I do think it would be helpful for the menu to provide more information about the dish though. My veal came on a plate with pasta & vegetables, but that wasn't mentioned in the description on the menu, at least I didn't see it. It was such a plentiful plate that I might have skipped getting an appetizer, had I known how much food was coming with my veal entree. But, overall, we had a wonderful meal, in a great setting, & with excellent service. I can't wait to find a reason to make the drive from our home in neighboring Portland, Maine to eat here again! Thanks for a great experience, our best in Quebec City!

My husband & I had an amazing lunch at Bello on our last day in Québec City! The portions are much bigger than you think they will be. The Caesar salad was so big the two of us couldn't finish it. & my half portion of pasta filled me up! His pizza was also delicious. Next time we visit, we will come back to Bello. We will also suggest it to friends.

This restaurant offers an elevated ambiance with good attentive service. However I wasn't wowed by any of their dishes considering the price point. I'd recommend for the cocktails, I had a Tim Collins & a mimosa but not the food (for reference I got the tartare & carbonara pasta).

Service is good until we mentioned that the seafood risotto is not creamy & has too much green & red bell pepper in it. The squid ink seafood pasta is actually seaweed looking pasta with white sauce. Not black ink sauce that I have expected as many others that I have tasted in Europe & America. Very disappointed of our experience with a highly rated restaurant.

Cod was excellent.
Pasta with mushrooms needed a little sea salt & olive oil & more truffle oil. It was dry.

I was not impressed with food. The cuttlefish pasta was exceptionally bland, the foie gras was not foie gras at all...it was pate. They charged for bread without saying so ahead of time. Whole place left a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry to say. The place is overly proud of itself & seems to have forgotten that a restaurant should focus on good food first.
