We visited Tuesday the 18th of September & Sunday the 23rd. Bello provides a great experience along with great food. The servers work very well together without being overbearing.

Some of the Tuesday highlights: Arancini appetizer excellent, smoked salmon excellent (unless you're one who prefers a more "cooked" fish). Veal Scallopini with mushrooms was the best scallopini I've ever had & their risotto with shrimp was excellent. Tiramisu dessert was presented imaginatively in a small canning jar & just like the entrees was excellent.

Sunday's meal was every bit as good. Fried calamari appetizer was a very generous portion presented with a nice remoulade sauce. Ceasar salad for two was very nicely presented. We each did 1/2 orders of pasta (so glad they have the 1/2 option). The lobster ravioli was incredible & the seafood linguini was great.

Service was perfectly paced, that very fine balance between "no rushing" & no waiting for what comes next. If your server becomes involved with a larger table there's another who will stop by to keep everything on track.

It's hard to say if we were more impressed by the food or by the teamwork & professionalism.

Bello is on St Louis, a few blocks away from the crowded St Jean street. It's well worth making a reservation & doing the uphill walk from St Jean street.

Only one small quibble: be aware that many restaurants suggest a tip on the subtotal before taxes, Bello's suggested amounts are based on the total with taxes. Easy enough for a decision if you look at the amounts.

We really enjoyed our visit to Bello. The smoked salmon appetizer was very tasty. The veal with mushrooms entree was truly the best veal we have had. The risotto with tiger prawns was excellent as well. A shared tiramisu presented in a small canning jar was a sweet treat. The servers were welcoming, friendly & helpful. We will definitely visit again on our way back through Quebec.

My partner & I visited Bello while vacationing in Quebec City. We both love Italian cuisine, & so we decided to make a reservation*. The risotto was by far the best thing we ordered, & I would highly recommend the giant tiger risotto. My partner ordered the seared tuna dish, & it was terrific as well. Their wine list was extensive, as was their dessert menu. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, & I would recommend sitting on the terrace, as the view is quite lovely.

*This restaurant books up fast, so make sure to reserve a table in advance.

Outstanding food & service. We expanded our initial reservation from 7 to 11 & it was handled with ease. Everyone raved about their meal as we walked the city after our meal. I had the cod with lemon risotto, & will be rembering those flavors for a long time to come.

Les serveurs étaient tous très sympathiques, le service était très rapide, malgré que le resto était bondé, la nourriture excellente (risotto parfait, tartare de boeuf très bon). Même la température des plats était parfaite! La carte des vins est impressionnante, beau décor. Les deux seuls bémols sont que les assiettes sont pas mal dispendieuses pour ce qu'il y a dedans & que c'était très bruyant, j'aurais aimé être un peu plus tranquille! Sinon c'etait très bien je vais y retourner certainement!
