Do not dine here! Overpriced tourist trap. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & has a lovely atmosphere but those are the only positives. Our dinner entrées arrived before our drinks, which had all been ordered at the same time, this is completely unacceptable for a'fine dining' establishment. I ordered the pasta bolognese which is one of my favorite dishes, it was the worst I have ever had. The bowl was burning hot like it was sitting under heat lamps for too long & the sauce was cooked into the pasta leaving it very dry. After a few bites I let the server know that the bolognese was not good & he offered to get something else for me, but I was completely put off at this point & declined. I specifically asked to have a box & he took my dish to the back & boxed it for me meaning that I had to throw it away as I cannot trust someone taking my food out of sight after a complaint. He smugly charged full price for bad food & bad service & did not care at all. An absolute embarrassment!

Late lunch & very pleased with the service & food. I was made to feel welcomed by the host & server. Sat at the bar & ordered calamari as a starter & the mushroom pizza. The calamari was just ok (not sure I liked the dipping sauce) but the pizza more than made up for it. Delicious!

Without a doubt the best meal I have ever eaten in the most delightful garden setting. Seared tuna with a mango tequila sauce served on top of an amazing quinoa sautéed vegetable combo. Wonderful service as well made for a very memorable meal.

A good friend recommended that we make a reservation for dinner. Which is a good idea ahead of time. We were taken in right away & the atmosphere surrounded us right away. Our server was Daevon. He was absolutely the best server I have ever experienced. He was so attentive & friendly & yes English is spoken. As well as Daevon, so was Maxine! She was very attentive, our water was always filled. The both of them work well together as we watch them both work together at setting up other tables as the night went on. My husband & I surely enjoyed our experience at IL Bello. From the starter cocktails to the end with an espresso & digestive, the entire evening was a delight. We shared the Capesante Al Pastis - scallops flambeed. Hubby had the Tagliatelle All' Anatra - pasta & duck confit. I had the Rissotto Al Gameretto - rice rosotto with tiger shrimp in a white wine sauce. All dishes were over the top & the portions were just perfect. Absolutely recommended this resturant. Very impressed & very satisfied!! Chef kiss.

Slow & inattentive service, mediocre food. Not sure how this place had high rating .. After I was seated outside, I was ignored for more than 10-15 mins .. not given menu, water, etc .. I got annoyed & had to ask for it. & this how it went the rest of the dinner, I had to ask for everything .. napkins, water, check .. the waiters seemed more interested chatting with some customers & ignoring the others. Food was mediocre at best, how is this place got 4.5 stars The scallop was overcooked & sauce was too sour. The pasta sauce way too too rich .. not much flavors. Avoid this place .. better go elsewhere.

We loved the food & the amazing service we had. The wait staff as well as Blanche were exceptional & catered to our every thought. The food was amazing chef kisses all around from the mushroom risotto w truffle sauce, linguine with pesto, fresh calamari, the salmon & duck confi to the amazing bread & beautiful desserts especially the tiramisu was unforgettable. We will definitely return.

Last night was my final evening in Quebec City, & realizing I hadn't yet tried French onion soup, I decided to visit Bistro St-Malo based on its excellent reviews. The soup & escargot looked too delicious to pass up. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered it was fully booked due to Valentine's Day. Instead, I opted for pasta & went to Bello. To my surprise, I had a delightful evening. Upon entering, the interior of the restaurant differed from its exterior, boasting a modern & upscale ambiance. It being Valentine's Day, the staff were impeccably dressed, drawing attention from patrons. The waitress who served us was exceptionally beautiful & attentive, regularly refilling our tea & inquiring about our satisfaction with the meal, leaving a lasting impression. Other staff members were equally professional & friendly. Now, onto the food. Firstly, the French onion soup, while slightly pricey, was incredibly rich, & the combination of cheese & soup was heavenly. However, the taste leaned towards the sour side, so it may not suit everyone's palate. Secondly, my main course was TAGLIATELLE ALL'ANATRA, essentially wide flat noodles with duck strips & foie gras in a white sauce. The foie gras, semi-melted after heating, blended perfectly with the noodles, accompanied by a subtle creamy fragrance & a hint of acidity from the specially prepared white sauce, creating a wonderfully layered dish. Lastly, the tiramisu dessert, with its whipped cheese & lemon cake, provided a delightful ending to my dinner.
