Best bakery in my 3-day stay in Quebec old city, would definitely come again. Iconic Newyork rolls have sweet fillings & I tried pistachio roll which has moderate sweetness. Chicken sandwich has tender chicken, basil pesto sauce, grilled (probably marinated) tomatoes which add more zings. Macchiato dessert & Tartelette were recommended by the staff when I struggled with making choices. I picked Macchiato which has a thin jelly-texture coat, the cool & refreshing coffee taste struck me when I had the first bite. My family had the rest & they handed down this bakery really has something. Plus compared with the product price of Paillard on the same street, price here is absolutely more reasonable & affordable.
Friendly service but with limited seating inside. Gets very busy during the weekend so I recommend going during the week. Pastries are all great & the coffee was alright.
Epifanny is a chic coffee house in the cobbled street of Rue St Jean. We loved going on a morning walk with our dog & grabbing the freshly brewed coffee & croissant from Epifanny. It was such a wonderful start to the day. The vibe is also upbeat & the staff is warm & friendly.
This bakery offers an incredible selection of croissants, pastries, breads & sandwiches, as well as drinks like coffee & tea. They have very unique pastries & croissants when compared to other bakeries in the city. I especially recommend their "croissant framboise" (raspberry croissant), which has a raspberry filling unlike anything I've had before. Highly recommend this bakery.
We visited for baked goods 3 times during our stay in Quebec. We brought croissants & pastries back to the hotel to enjoy with coffee, bought baguettes & bread to make sandwiches for a picnic in Montmorency Falls & lastly a few sandwiches for our southern trek home. The filtered coffee is rich, strong but not bitter. We enjoyed walking on this side of town away from the crowd.
I've never been disappointed here. The pastries are flakey & taste fresh. The coffee is good also. Courteous service. There's a small seating area, but I like to take my pastry & coffee & enjoy it in the outdoor seating area down the street & people watch 😊
Excellent bakery cafe. The service was very fast & friendly. There are a few seats. The people i was bringing pastries to absolutely loved the pastries. 😋 The coffee looked good too, however i spilled mine in the car, so didnt get a chance to taste or review it. 😭
A gem of a little bakery that wasn't too far from our hotel. We went in for breakfast one day & every single thing we had was so yummy we had to go back before leaving Quebec City! It's one of the few places that open early in the morning & is just perfect to grab & go some pastries or even sit in & eat.
We had the viral New York croissant which was just buttery, caramely goodness. The apple pastry was good too. Their coffees are amazing! The danish & pistachio croissants were perfect. We also grabbed a chicken sandwich which kept us full all morning.
A must visit if you are in the area!
