Great breakfast spot with a cozy, classic diner feel. The portions are big & the prices are reasonable. I tried the crepe & eggs Benedict, & it was really satisfying. The eggs Benedict was creamy with rich hollandaise sauce, & the potatoes on the side were nicely cooked. The service was friendly & welcoming. A solid place for a filling breakfast in Québec.
Really great breakfast.
Busy on the weekends (ex. Line up for 15-20 mins)
Worth the wait.
No longer a hidden gem because so busy, but everything is amazing in this place.
We stumbled across Le Buffet De L'Antiquaire looking for breakfast & were so impressed that we came back for lunch the same day, then returned again for breakfast before leaving Québec City.
The food is classic Québec comfort food, hearty, tasty & served in very generous portions. You certainly won't leave hungry. Everything tasted fresh & home-cooked, exactly what we were hoping to find.
What we enjoyed just as much was the atmosphere. The restaurant had a great buzz about it, with a mix of locals & tourists filling the tables. That's usually a good sign, & it definitely lived up to expectations.
A big thank you to Anne, our server, who was welcoming, friendly & made us feel right at home during each visit.
When you return to a restaurant three times in less than two days, that's probably the best recommendation you can give. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Highly recommended.

For a week, I ate every breakfast & dinner there. & after that, I bought a T-shirt from the place (a sou-venir, literally a lesser- journey), & then when I got home (Hawaii, so far away) I got on the website just so that I could take the virtual tour to again feel the ambience. It is the perfect size: you feel like you've taken the entire place in. I feel like it is a part of my house, but with a LONG path. But that's OK.
Going traveling & then finding a place like this to nourish your soul is what makes working hard in your job worth it. So, save your paid time off & go eat here. If you're lucky you'll get to sit outside. Note: if you have a large party, i.e., 6 or more, call ahead so that staff seat you.
Found this amazing breakfast place in old Quebec City, simply awesome. Te Te (Thierry) had the breakfast kitchen under control as we watched from our counter seats. Food was excellent as was the service. We ate there 2 days of our 3 day get away & left happy & full, enjoy.
Came here for breakfast. I don't usually write reviews but I was really disappointed giving the overwhelmingly positive comments here.
The food was fine, but nothing incredible - definitely not worth the wait.
There was always a significant lineup from the time we arrived to when we finished, but much of this seemed to be do to inefficiency in their seating process - while we were waiting, with many people ahead of us & no one having been seated for a while, we counted at least two four-person tables & five two-person tables sitting empty.
The mugs had a very worn look/feel to them, & my wife had to send hers back because it was quite dirty, which turned me off my coffee. Some of my cutlery was also dirty.
After reading the glowing reviews about this restaurant, we stopped by for breakfast during our trip to Quebec City.
I was wildly excited about their eggs Benedict, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. Everything was completely flavorless. No seasoning, no lemon, & the hash brown potatoes were barely cooked.
On top of that, the service was disappointingly slow. At busy restaurants, I would normally give a wide berth. But in this case, you could see the servers just standing around talking. There was no sense of urgency. This is one breakfast spot I will not return to. Highly recommend looking for something else.
This place serves delicious food.'La Cochonne' is amazing for breakfast, & for lunch,'Le Ragoût de Boulettes & Pattes' is simply delicious. It's the perfect spot for anyone who loves homemade-style flavors. The menu is available in French, English, & Spanish, & the staff can assist you in all three languages. A must-visit place to eat.
