Cafe Buade was a truly great find during our recent visit to Quebec City. It is not only a pleasantly hidden respite place but offered great tasting food, excellent & warm service, & peaceful ambiance. We had an onion soup which strongly rivaled some of the best soups we have had in France. We also had a Caesar salad which was top notch & big enough to share. My wife had nice wine with a healthy pour, unlike other places where we dined during our stay. Alina was a terrific server, very pleasant, helpful, & professional. Kudos & touché Cafe Buade.
We absolutely loved the vibe of this cafe During our trip to Montreal, we decided to spend one day exploring Quebec City, & we're so glad we stopped here to take a break. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our day.
The poutine was the best I've ever had! I even loved the little disposable hand towels in the restroom-such a thoughtful touch The whole place has a unique & special atmosphere
A special thank you to Alina for her amazing service We were in a hurry because we had more places to visit, & she made sure our order was prepared as quickly as possible. She even let us charge our phones & was incredibly warm, friendly, & welcoming throughout our visit. She truly made our experience even more memorable. We would definitely come back!
Really liked the place. Starting with an excellent service & atmosphere & finishing with the food. We took a plate of Boeuf Bourguignon & a poutine Buade. Both were great. Really amazing food.
On top, the oldest cafe in the city.
Totally recommend to visit.

Consciente qu'il y a la construction qui nuit a la circulation dans ce Restaurant Café, très déçu ou est le temps où nous les travailleurs du Château dans les années 90 & même récemment, pouvions manger un bon steak plusieurs onces offert sur le menu, de verre de vin sans poussières, de bolognaise avec fromage râpé pas du Craft qui pue & un panier de pain quelques croûtons abandonnés la vieille sur le comptoir ça goûtait le vieux pain brk 40$, un verre vin blanc & un bolognaise & la portion minimal pas pire le goût de la sauce 7 sur 10, très déçu du service, passait très vite a la table pourtant la cafétéria était pas achalandé pour un midi, s'est octroyé un 20%de la facture d'elle même plus jamais & nos boss non plus:(
My first time at Cafe Buade for dinner the food is hearty & delicious. The portions are generous & atmosphere is very cozy. Our server Joe was very hospitable & attentive . Definitely returning here.

Ce café est une belle surprise! Nous cherchions un restaurant pour la soirée du 31 avec les enfants & tout était toujours complet! Nous avons finalement attéris dans ce charmant café & bon sang quelle merveille! Nous avons passé une superbe soirée avec des chansons quebecoises, une équipe & des serveurs absolument charmants attentionnés & gentils! La nourriture est franchement excellente, tout a fait digne de ses grands restaurants tous complets ou vous allez payer 3 fois le prix pour la même chose! La soupe a l'oignon était exceptionnelle & leurs spaghetti's sont délicieuses!!! Le rapport qualité prix de ce charmant petit café restaurant est incroyable!!! Merci a toute l'équipe pour la belle soirée!!!
Our dinner at Café Buade was absolutely memorable - the food was top notch from start to finish. The French onion soup was rich & deeply flavorful, easily one of the best we've ever had. The beef was incredibly tender & juicy, melting in the mouth with every bite. My salmon was cooked perfectly & seasoned just right. To finish, the apple pie paired beautifully with vanilla ice cream, a well-balanced & comforting dessert. On top of the outstanding food, the service was amazing - attentive, friendly, & made our first night in Québec truly special.
