My husband & I went in to Cafe Buade for our first Croque monsieur/madams while in Quebec City. They were amazing! & beside the food being great, the wait staff was outstanding. We were served by Joe & Caroline, who were so nice & even helped me a little with my rusty French. & Caroline had me laughing out loud! We ended up having a great time at lunch! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband & I had dinner here & it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious. The onion soup - outstanding. The croque monsieur - the best I have ever eaten. Joe the manager was as kind as can be & Elias our waiter was not only friendly but right on top of everything. We heard it was under new management - can't go wrong with eating at Cafe Buade

This cafe was AMAZING !!! I had one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had here. Joe explained how they are under new management & have revamped the menu. All I can say is, everything was delicious. Everyone, you need to check this place out...trust me, you'll not be disappointed. The customer service was spot on, the atmosphere terrific. I will definitely be going back before my trip is over. #BestBreakfastPountineEve

After walking for several hours one morning in the petit Champlain district, we walked past this cafe on the way back to our hotel. Not being overly hungry, we each had a mimosa, a cappuccino, & shared a (HUGE!) piece of carrot cake. In the course of an hour, we had several friendly conversations with our waitress & the maitre'd. We also met their chief / full-time baker! Desserts are to die for here! We're only sorry we were leaving the next day. A must revisit on our next trip to Quebec City.
