It was a wonderful experience at Le Café Buade, located in the heart of Old Quebec City. We were there to explore & celebrate a friend's birthday, & everything exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the ambiance was cozy & charming, & the experience was made even more special by the amazing staff, especially Joe, who welcomed, served, & entertained us with such warmth & genuine hospitality.

Amazing restaurant. Fantastic value for the quality of food & level of service. We returned numerous times over our weeks stay & were greeted with a'welcome back' each time. We tried many different entrees & enjoyed each one. They have many gluten free options. I was able to enjoy poutine as their gravy & hollandaise are gluten free. I would give it more stars if I could.

We ate twice here in a 4 day stay, & with all the other restaurants around that was something. We had brunch & it was casual but cozy & friendly, & they topped up our coffee frequently. Their home made soup is really fabulous, I'd say a speciality. So we went back on our last evening & our waiter Charles was so attentive & friendly without being over the top. There was nothing wrong with the local dish I chose (chips with gravy & cheese curds cannot remember it's name) but it just wasn't to my liking & I ought to not have chosen it, but my husband was delighted with his plate of food. Charles seemed very disappointed that I hadn't enjoyed it, but understood & appreciated me at least trying it. He was VERY understanding when it came to the bill regarding that which was above & beyond. Thank you so much cafe Buade, You are a gem of a place with lovely staff & food.
