Il est difficile d'apprécier l'expérience gustative des plats car trop d'éléments dans l'assiette.Le chef veut trop en faire & on perd le goût .Toutefois l'aile de raie était délicieuse,les ingrédients étaient mieux équilibrés dans l'assiette.Le homard était noyé dans une sauce trop prononcée où les morilles étaient un peu trop présentes.Par contre, les asperges tranchées sur le dessus ajoutaient de la fraîcheur au plat.

C'était notre troisième fois chez Rioux & Pettigrew & je dois dire qu'encore une fois, nous avons passé une soirée magnifique. Les plats que nous avons dégustés étaient tout simplement exquis! Le service, de l'accueil jusqu'à la fin de la soirée, fut excellent; digne des plus grandes tables du Québec. Tout y était, même que notre serveur nous a emmené visité la cuisine (qui vient tout juste d'être rénovée), le chef & tous les employés ont même pris le temps de nous saluer, une petite attention mais qui fait chaud au coeur. La cuisine est encore une fois très recherchée & l'agencement de saveurs & des textures; EXTRAORDINAIRE. Nous recommandons chaudement!

A warm, cozy & very friendly environment. The food was absolutely delicious! The chef is an artist! Bravo! Such a pleasurable experience. Thank you! We are from Toronto & just love the incredible people, French culture & food of Quebec City! We had a lovely weekend vacation! Definitely recommend this place! ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?

Lovely meal experience at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. We chose the chef's tasting menu which included 4 diverse, delicious courses, & a wine pairing. The staff was knowledgable, enthusiastic, & bilingual in French & English, which really helped as they explained each course. Pricing felt quite reasonable as well. We loved the ambiance & the way they honoured the heritage of the building/restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend or return.

One of the most gastronomic experience ever in the old port, old Quebec, the service was spectacular & each dish from the'experience' unknown menu was out of this world! Our favourite experience in our 5 days in Quebec. We received a tour of the place & kitchen to express our gratitude & met the Chefs & Sous-Chefs, they exceeded our expectations & we had to meet them. Just WOW, WOW, WOW. The atmosphere is ambient, classy but relaxed, surrounded by vintage artifacts & wood. Just superb through & though! Merci, Chez Rioux & Pettigrew, nous reviendrons sûrement vous voir à notre prochaine visite!

Thank you for a wonderful night out, with my colleague, on the night of the Jays/Dodgers final game-November 1/25...we were the last diners in the restaurant at 10pm on a Saturday night--so many people were in bars watching the World Series final game--so we had the place to ourselves at the end--amazing! Our waiter, Gregoire, was very attentive & the Chef's creations & presentations were superb. The atmosphere is completely charming & reminds me, at the entryway, of my French-Canadian grandmother's house, filled with vintage photos & comfy furnishings. As neighbours visiting from Ontario, we were self-conscious about our own French language skills, but felt very welcome here. Gregoire took us through the menu in detail (with an English version, of course-- & he demonstrated for us his love of local food, the marriage of flavours to expect in a dish & to describe the wine-pairing--with sincerity). We were not disappointed! The food is excellent here. To any anglophone tourists, please don't miss this place--it is very special & you will have a memorable dining experience here.
