Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Quel accueil & quel service! Wow! & que dire de la propreté des cuisines. Impeccable. Ce fût une expérience incroyable dans son ensemble. Seul bémol le dessert. ce n'était pas à la hauteur des plats principaux mais sinon tout était parfait. On nous avait recommandé de prendre 2 plats chacun mais sincèrement un seul aurait suffit. Alors pour les appétits normaux commencé par commander 1 plat & vous verrez si un deuxième est nécessaire. Merci au chef & à son équipe!

It was an exceptional experience in EVERY way - atmosphere, service & of course the food. I can't even describe how many flavours were presented throughout our multi-course meal. Each dish clearly showing the kind of attention to detail that makes it clear the chef/kitchen team love what they are doing. Will enthusiastically recommend to everyone I know who are travelling to Quebec City!

Resto bien à la mode! Original & créatif! Cependant le chef n'a pas encore trouvé le moyen de ses ambitions!

Les éléments principaux de ses plats sont noyés dans des amalgames & perdent leurs lettres de noblesse!

Sympathique mais pas de la grande cuisine.

My boyfriend & I really enjoyed our dinner at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. I liked the cozy decor, the dividers between the table gave us privacy while still being a part of the buzzing atmosphere. But the true stand out was the 5 course chef's menu. Each dish was curated perfectly, layers of flavours, complimentary & mouth-wateringly delicious. It was such a wonderful experience, great service & the perfect way to end our road trip to Quebec City. Merci beaucoup for the perfect dinner!

Une belle découverte!
Nous avons adoré l'ambiance, le personnel attentionné. Un repas choisi par le chef avec accord vin. Aussi bon que beau à regarder. On reviendra!
