We had a lovely dinner at this cozy restaurant, but it I would not put it on my "best of" list. Service was great. Ambience great. Food was above average, but not excellent. Price point was high for the level of cuisine. The food tried hard & was visually pretty, but some of the items lacked enough flavor & others had some texture issues (dense or sticky) that left me disappointed. Dessert was fine, but uninspired. Overall, a good restaurant but not superb, & not a great value, imho.

L'expérience Rioux & Pettigrew était absolument incroyable! 3 plats salés délectables & 1 dessert qui a bien complété le tout. En plus les portions étaient parfaites! Coup de coeur en particulier pour le tartare de cerf ... wow!

We were disappointed by our dinner on 12/30/2022. We had the holiday fixed menu. The cocktails were delicious but several of our dishes were disappointing. The butternut squash spaghetti & the goat cheese dish were not very appetizing, & the orange dessert was quite bitter. The mushroom ravioli dish was delicious & the best dish of the meal. The service & flow of the meal was slow, perhaps trying to manage more tables than usual during the holidays.

The oysters & bubbles add on was fabulous, the dessert wasn't very good , too bitter, & first course with mussels was too fishy, the rest was delicious & presentation beautiful, the reserve wine paring was perfect & excellent service from the waitress, very attentive

The vibe is elegant & very elevated food choices.
I had a cheese plate that was fabulous & the gnocchi with mushrooms that was done in such a flavorful sauce that I skipped dessert. I was so satisfied. I would recommend

My husband & I splurged for our birthdays, & had the prix fixe, chef's choice 4 course dinner with their wine pairings. The first course of sturgeon was spectacular, the "deconstructed" onion soup amazing & creative, the beef dish delicious & the dessert gorgeous & mouth watering! The wines were a perfect match, finished with a sweet cider aperitif. Worth every penny, & served so professionally.

The resto is billed as a cuisine boreale. I'm not sure I'd agree, unless what is meant is a kind of rustic, hard-scrabble, scavenged cuisine; an egg par cooked with white beans sprung from a ship wrecked tin, sprinkled with the inevitable bacon bits (including for the pescatarian experience?), prawn ceviche-style (ok) but not deveined (not ok). Main plate was agreeable but meh. Dessert was bizarre-caraway spiced brittle with micro, lavender biscuit? & the experience was also boreale in the following sense: not a green to be seen. Service was very pleasant & good! Mixed drinks were too. I admire the ambition of the chef, which is what brought us. Sadly we would not recommend & would not risk another visit considering the cost.

Personnel charmant, souriant, & très à l'écoute des convives. Cadre sain, soigné & apaisant. Mets très jolis à regarder & excellents à manger. Nous demandons à gouter un dessert supplémentaire à notre menu découverte ... On nous le sert ... & on nous l'offre ! Un pur moment de bonheur ! Bravo Rioux & Pettigrew, nous reviendrons à coup sûr !
