AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

The place was small & cozy, & the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the pork belly main, it is rare to find a place that can prepare amazing succulent pork belly.

We took advantage of the four course dinner & could not have been pleased. Each course was presented beautifully & tasted even better. Service was attentive, helpful & engaging. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Food was amazing - taste great & plated beautifully. I liked how the server explained whats on the plate when they served it to us. Highly recommend this restaurant - fine dining at reasonable price.

Honest dishes well executed. Booked by chance at the last minute as was not at all disappointed. Easy to fall into a tourist trap when dining in Quebec City, this was not the case. Hospitality was equally well conducted, light & jovial. Merci à notre serveur Simon. We will come again. I recommend you go for the tasting menu, we were stuffed by the end.

This was the last dinner of 5 nights & was definitely the best. Although the restaurant was fairly quiet (a Tuesday in January before Carnaval) it was so lovely & comfortable. The bartender Simon made both of us wonderful after dinner cocktails. Absolutely recommend.

Top-notch service in this effortlessly classy yet relaxed establishment. The unique touch of passing through the kitchen en route to our table added to the experience. Opting for the brunch, a delightful array of sweet & savory dishes awaited, & every bite was a winner. Without a doubt, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place-100%.
