Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

A warm, cozy & very friendly environment. The food was absolutely delicious! The chef is an artist! Bravo! Such a pleasurable experience. Thank you! We are from Toronto & just love the incredible people, French culture & food of Quebec City! We had a lovely weekend vacation! Definitely recommend this place! ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?

Wow - une 3e fois pour moi, & la réputation & mon appréciation n'ont pa changé. Un accueil & un service chaleureux, vraiment de tous ceux & celles qui nous ont servi. TOUS les plats étaient exquis par les saveurs, les textures, l'équilibre & la beauté.

Deuxième visite. Nous y sommes venus en famille avec deux enfants pour le brunch. Tout était excellent! Le service très attentionné. Nous avons adoré notre expérience & nous recommandons fortement à quiconque souhaite découvrir une adresse digne des plus grandes tables de la capitale. Prix raisonnable & excellent rapport qualité-prix.

A true gem! This was our third year in a row we've returned (coming all the way from Montreal). Everything is wonderful. The service is outstanding & make you feel at home. The food is creative, innovative, but approachable. I recommend the blind tasting - such an adventure!

On nous avait recommandé l'endroit, mais nos attentes ont été surpassées. Tous les plats étaient fins, des amalgames complexes mais très harmonieux, un vrai délice. Le service assuré par Jade était avenant, chaleureux & fort sympathique. & les lieux sont remplis d'histoire. Une très belle découverte que nous recommandons sans équivoque. Merci, on reviendra.

Lovely meal experience at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. We chose the chef's tasting menu which included 4 diverse, delicious courses, & a wine pairing. The staff was knowledgable, enthusiastic, & bilingual in French & English, which really helped as they explained each course. Pricing felt quite reasonable as well. We loved the ambiance & the way they honoured the heritage of the building/restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend or return.
