Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

We had a beautiful meal on a warm August evening. We chose the 4-course meal, & was not disappointed. The kids had mocktails, & we enjoyed the wine pairings. All of it was excellent, but the cod was outstanding. Highly recommended for a special, memorable meal.

Très belle expérience ! Service courtois & sympathique! Bouffe délicieuse. Nous avons pris l'accord mets & vin. Le seul bémol, nous n'avons pas le temps de déguster les vins entre les services. Il faut souvent boire sans vraiment déguster. Je recommande vivement ce resto!

My wife & I had the tasting menu, which was fantastic & very unique. Pasta, fancy drinks (& bread) were a hit with the kids. Would definitely recommend for any foodies visiting Quebec.

The dinner was absolutely perfect. We had the onion tart & the Char w/ kimchi. Filling but not heavy with layers of flavor. The team working there & waiting on us were knowledgeable & fun. We highly recommend this for your night out in Quebec City.

My sister & I came here & we opted for the 4 course meal. We didn't know the dishes in advance, but I let the server know that I'm pregnant, & she was super understanding & accommodating. Everyone has different dietary restrictions during pregnancy, so she made sure to check in after each dish was served to ensure that the food was cooked to my comfort. Not only was the service great, the food was delicious & innovative too! The atmosphere was cozy & inviting. We had a wonderful experience, & would definitely recommend!

This is my second visit to this restaurant, we are from Ottawa visiting Quebec City. The food here is special & unique. I highly recommend it for a gastronomic delight. We had the blind 4 course meal & it was incredible.
