Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed & welcoming. The server was excellent & extremely patient with my husband's bad jokes. We would highly recommend Chez Rioux & Pettigrew.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! Benjamin was our waiter, he was very friendly, paid attention to detail & made very good recommendations. The food was excellent & every component of their dishes were refined & so well balanced & delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant & we will definitely be back!

Nourriture excellente, tant au goût que la présentation. Décor rustique, séparations COVID qui se fondent dans le décor créant une plus grande intimité. Je recommande à tous. Avons vécu expérience culinaire magique. Super service!

Quelle belle expériene! Accueil chaleureux & courtois, décor & musique agréables, &... un repas exquis!! Merci à notre serveuse pour sa recommandation de partager les plats - notre palisir en a été décuplé. Ses accords mets-vins ont aussi contribué à nourrir notre satisfation & la rendre totale. Had a wonderful dining experience at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. They were very kind & considerate about our reservation & we never felt rushed during our long & extremely enjoyable meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable & intimate with a sense of fine dining. The food was served fresh & with quality ingredients. Each plate of the chef's menu that we ordered was crafted with care & each ingredient complimented the others on the plate. The drinks were similarly delicious. The restaurant was kind enough to accommodate our one vegetarian diner for the chef's menu & that made the evening all the more enjoyable. Would absolutely return & recommend Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. They were also extremely accommodating of the non-French speaking & very conversation to our one French-studying group member. This dinner was a night we won't soon forget.
