Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Delicious meal with a great ambiance. Had a very good cocktail as well to start dinner off. Plates are medium sized (bigger than standard tapas) so it is recommended to get 2-3 dishes per person. We had 2 per person & it was definitely enough food.

A warm & inviting atmosphere with an exceptional team of hosts. The food was outstanding & the wine was just as excellent. Rioux came recommended by our Air BNB hosts as well as an article we had read. It lived up to all the praise. Would recommend & would visit again given the opportunity. Thanks!

Expérience avec des amies tout à fait exceptionnelle. Le menu dégustation avec l'accord vin a été un franc succès apprécié de tous!
Je le recommande vivement. Peut-être pas à la portée de toutes les bourses mais il faut se gâter de temps en temps. Vive la bouffe!

Very impressed with the general quality of the food. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel as one of the best in Quebec City, & it certainly lived up to the hype. The only small issue was how long it took for the food to be served, nearly an hour between us sitting down & the first course reaching the table.

We enjoyed our dinner. The scallops were excellent & I would highly recommend them. The bison & oysters were also very good. The staff were very friendly & accommodating.

My husband & I did the sharing of plates. We ordered 4 plates & they were incredible! The food was outstanding. We tried the beef tartare, the scallops, the cavatelli & the apple burratini. A phenomenal blend of flavors, so unique & the staff was so knowledgeable. They explained each dish in depth. We will be returning for sure. We recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's a gastronomical experience!
