AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Excellent through & through. Highly recommend for couples that want a great vibe. The service was on point & we left still in awe. The every bite had different & pleasurable tastes which did not make the dish bland. Great job & certainly will be back.

One of our favourite places in Québec City. We came Chez Rioux & Pettigrew two years in a row to celebrate my husband's birthday. The first year, we did the blind menu (chef's choice), everything was amazing. This time, we ordered from the menu & once again everything was amazing! The food, the service & the ambiance are all delightful. A truly phenomenal experience. Reservations are highly recommended!

Spectacular culinary experience. We had the four course discovery menu & the flavors & presentation were intence complimentary & amazing. Waitstaff was attentive & very engaging, Jade was awesome. Highly recommend. Highlight of the quebec culinary experience.

Ambiance chaleureuse & funky, Le staff était gentil & accueillant. Bref, service impeccable. Pour la nourriture, nous avons pris le tartare de cerf, le crudo de pétoncles, l'onglet de boeuf & le millefeuille.

Tout était absolument incroyable l'onglet était très tendre & la cuisson était parfaite. Pour ce qui est du tartare un seul mot : Wow. Je suis un amateur de tartare & celui-ci est le meilleur tartare de restaurant que j'ai mangé. Tout fonctionne le goût, les textures avec les petite julienne de patates croustillantes, la portion. Bref, je le recommande a 100%. Le crudo de pétoncles était tout aussi agréable à manger. Saveur audacieuse & explosive. Plat très frais à découvrir. Le point faible du repas était le millefeuille. il était casiment plus acidulé que sucré à cause du citron.

Finalement, très belle découverte. Nous allons revenir assurément. Je recommande.

Our first time in Quebec City & this restaurant was highly recommended! The service & ambience was fantastic & the service was absolutely amazing. We love the level of attentiveness & the quality of the food was out of this world. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city! We'll be back!
