AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Our dinner was perfection! The Bouillabaisse was so beautiful & delicious! The cheesecake dessert was so different from what you think about cheesecake, & I'm so glad we ordered it. It was ethereal! Our waiter, Jonathan, was great. We also loved the warm ambience, beautiful food in a comfortable environment.

Nous avons pris le menu 4 services avec l'accord mets vins. Nous avons été déçu par la nourriture en comparaison avec nos expériences précédentes chez Rioux. Le magret de canard n'était pas tendre. Le ceviche de fletan était aussi décevant. Nous avons toutefois beaucoup apprécié l'entrée de tomates & le dessert. Le service était aussi excellent & les employés ont tous été super.

The staff was very professional. I loved that everyone greets you as soon as you enter the restaurant. Our table was located in the back, we were fortunate to get a little tour of the kitchen. The menu is absolutely incredible, I would definitely recommend de 4 course meal (blind tasting composed by the chef).

I had been to this restaurant before (approx 4 years ago) & finally returned. It was a phenomenal restaurant back then & it is STILL a phenomenal restaurant now! Despite the years part, the service, environment & especially the food, the quality of their overall service never wavered. It always brought pleasant surprises & beautiful, delicious food.

We had the 4 course meal plus wine pairing. I have never, even in my most wildest dreams seen dishes look so beautiful & be equally as delicious! The wine pairings were on point & complemented the dishes so well, angels could cry.

Thank you for an unforgettable evening!! We hope to return sooner rather than later (hopefully in less than 4 years). Continue to keep up the good work & may you continue to push the boundaries in your work!! Thank you!!

Vraiment tout était parfait mais sans jeu de mot ; j ai un bémol :le niveau sonore excessif il faut crier pour parler.
J aimerais bien qu'un restaurant restaurateur m Explique le pourquoi ce façon de faire dans presque tous les restaurants
