AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Unfortunately I found your menu lacking in choices. When making the reservation I said there were food allergy issues, we were very limited in what we could order. I tried the bouillabaisse soup. The portion was small & the description in the menu did not prepare me for the presentation. My wife ordered the pasta & said she could not have the pesto due to nut allergies. When it was brought to the table the server could not guarantee there was no pesto on it. That required another wait as a new dish was prepared.
It would have helped if the waiter had explained the small portions & it would require ordering several dishes to be satisfied.
As it worked out the first two dishes we ordered were so unsatisfactory, rather than ordering more we decided to go home hungry.

Une belle découverte à Québec. Menu dégustation & vins d'accompagnement, tout simplement sublime. Le service offert par Benoit était parfait, fait dans les règles de l'art. il est un amateur de bon vins & a su nous transmettre sa passion. Merci à Benoit & l'équipe.

quelle expérience incroyable. nous étions au comptoir & avons adoré notre soirée. tant par l'hotesse, le barman, le sommelier, le service a été au dela de nos attentes. merci infiniment & à très bientot!

Superb restaurant. Food was delicious & inventive. Also beautifully presented. Terrific service. Also, reasonable for the quality. I am a foodie, & this is one of the best meals my wife & I have had in a while.

We dined at your place for our wedding anniversary. I ordered the Petite Biquette d'Alfredo Linguini, thinking it was a linguini dish. Disappointed when I discovered that it was not. Not sure if any of your ‘play on words' menu titles are understood by anglophone visitors, of which there were many.
