AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Très bon mais pas très copieux, vaut mieux ne pas arriver au resto avec une faim de loup. Formule à l'aveugle accompagné de l'accord vin qui est tout de même assez dispendieux par rapport à la quantité de nourriture servie.

We had a lovely dinner & outstanding cocktails at this beautiful restaurant in Quebec City. We chose to sit at the bar, & what a great idea that was because the bartender was incredibly knowledgable & interesting. Can't wait to go back next time we're here!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre dîner chez Rioux & Pettigrew. La cuisine est très bonne, le lieu est très agréable & nous avons été très bien conseillés, autant pour le repas que pour le choix du vin, un grand merci à Jonathan.

We had a wonderful dinning experience. Me & my husband had the 4 blind courses with the wine paring, each course was beautiful & yummy with so much creativity!! My kids had the kids meal with the pasta, & even their pasta was so gourmet!! The service was excellent. Every course was explained by the server when they came out.
