Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Service beaucoup trop rapide. Nous n'avons même pas eu le temps de finir nos apéros que L'entrée est arrivée 5mins à peine après la commande & cela a été de même pour le repas principal. Nous avions même nos assiettes avant le vin. De plus les plats principaux étaient froids & tièdes. Bien que le repas était excellent, certains critères ne sont pas négligeables: nous ne sommes pas dans un fast-food non plus. Le décorum entourant un bon repas est à repenser à mon avis, surtout en ce qui concerne les pauses acceptables & attendues entre chaque service.

The restaurant is adorable! Food was exceptional, service was amazing ! We sat at the bar Jeremy our bartender made me a delicious margarita! One of his specialties! He made our evening special & fun!

We were a party of four & ordered the three course anniversary pre fix menu. The first course was seared tuna, which was excellent & the second course was poached halibut, which ended up being Turbot. We pointed this out to the waiter, & he admitted that the menu was written incorrectly, & that it was indeed turbot. We found it mushy & fishy tasting. Two people in our party didn't eat the fish yet management only offered to replace it with the surf & turf, which was black pudding & shrimp. The service was attentive & the atmosphere is really cool & interesting.
