AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Incroyable expérience, encore une fois chapeau!
C'est, pour ma femme & moi, notre restaurant favori. Le service est toujours impeccable, & cette fois encore, notre serveur Greg a été absolument phénoménal - attentionné, professionnel & super sympathique.

Le staff au complet est compétent & vraiment agréable. La nourriture est toujours parfaitement préparée, remplie d'arômes & de saveurs uniques.

Un incontournable. 10/10, je recommande à tout le monde d'y aller!

Tried this restaurant recently & had a mixed but overall enjoyable experience.

The mocktail made with beet was amazing, super unique & surprisingly delicious. Definitely a standout.

For appetizers, we had the burrata dish. The burrata itself was great quality, but the ingredients around it didn't really mesh well together. Everything tasted good on its own, but the combination just didn't come together.

The duck dish was okay. Same for the blood pudding, very unique with no foul taste or smell, but the overall flavour just wasn't quite there.

The fish dish ended up being the star of the night. The sauces & sides were fantastic & complemented everything beautifully. The fish itself was just slightly overcooked, but still tasty.

Overall, some real highlights & some dishes that missed the mark, but worth trying for the unique flavours.

Mon experience au restaurant de manière generale était bonne!! Le personnel était sympathique. L'entrée de foie de gras poelé était excellente & les 2 plats principaux aussi!! Nous avons pris le risotto aux champignons ainsi que l'agneau. Peut etre un seul bemol, ils ne sont pas venu entre l'entré & le repas principal nous revoir malgré que jai fais signe au serveur a plusieurs reprises j'aurais apprecié un autre drink car celui que j'ai commandé était excellent!

Je recommende ce restaurant dans tout les cas. À bientôt

Brought my 92 year old grandmother in-law here from Ottawa from such a great supper & experience. We were lucky to have Roxanne as our waitress again, as my wife & daughter & I were here in August! & she was so amazing & knowledgeable.
