AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Tout, tout, tout était parfait! Nos plats & sa présentation: excellents pour la bouche & l'oeil, le service que dire attentionné. Tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un beau & bon moment chez vous!

Bonne nourriture, mais tout de même cher pour le prix, surtout pour un brunch.

Le service est correct, mais un peu'coincé', pas très naturel. Nous avons attendu somme toute au moins 15-20 min pour les cafés & le lait requis.

Ce n'est pas nécessairement mauvais, mais pour un restaurant avec une mention Michelin, le prix ne valait pas le repas ni le service.

Dommage, car notre expérience précédente avait été sans faute, & moins dispendieuse.

La présentation des plats par les serveurs semblaient être appris par coeur, la quantité de la nourriture était limité sinon, ce fut un moment très agréable, nourriture excellente, la présentation dans les assiettes étaient recherchés, le vin était délicieux & en accord avec les mets choisis.

Visiting this restaurant makes visiting Paris almost not necessary. Yes, Paris will make the Foie Gras extremely exquisite. However compared to this restaurant, the culinary level of their Foie Gras, the friendliness of the staff, the cheery mode of the place, etc, etc - this is the place to be!

Le tartare était tout simplement sublime. Le mélange des saveurs des autres plats que nous avons pris était moins extraordinaire mais l'expérience est toujours intéressante

Thank you for a wonderful night out, with my colleague, on the night of the Jays/Dodgers final game-November 1/25...we were the last diners in the restaurant at 10pm on a Saturday night--so many people were in bars watching the World Series final game--so we had the place to ourselves at the end--amazing! Our waiter, Gregoire, was very attentive & the Chef's creations & presentations were superb. The atmosphere is completely charming & reminds me, at the entryway, of my French-Canadian grandmother's house, filled with vintage photos & comfy furnishings. As neighbours visiting from Ontario, we were self-conscious about our own French language skills, but felt very welcome here. Gregoire took us through the menu in detail (with an English version, of course-- & he demonstrated for us his love of local food, the marriage of flavours to expect in a dish & to describe the wine-pairing--with sincerity). We were not disappointed! The food is excellent here. To any anglophone tourists, please don't miss this place--it is very special & you will have a memorable dining experience here. Thank you for a perfect evening!

Everything was excellent! From the service to their food! Went there for our anniversary & had the surprise 4 course meal & they did not disappoint. My husband & I finished every bit of our plate.
