AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Resto bien à la mode! Original & créatif! Cependant le chef n'a pas encore trouvé le moyen de ses ambitions!

Les éléments principaux de ses plats sont noyés dans des amalgames & perdent leurs lettres de noblesse!

A wonderfully intimate restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere on a cool night, Menu & food are thoughtfully crafted & excellently prepared. Staff was very friendly, helpful & attentive. A wonderful evening.

Fantastic food! We had tasting menu with wine pairings. The only complaint we have is with the choice of wine with dessert. The wine served was effervescent & quite tart. It did not compliment the dessert . A wine sweeter than the sweetness of the dessert would be more appropriate.

This is an excellent restaurant & the food is wonderful! You should know that you are suggested to have 2-3 orders per person as the plates are small, "tapas" type, servings.
